I have used ASUS Motherboards and ROG branded ones for a long time. The Crosshair 6 will be my last ASUS product.

Totally unacceptable that a motherboard can still not keep the CPU and other fan headers operational after this long and through numerous BIOS updates.

What does 1,360,144 views of the Crosshair VI Bios thread mean? That this isn't handled folks.

The death of the Crosshair VI in favor of their Crosshair VII, which is equally a PoS! You can't hide this crap, Raja! Crap still stinks, even when buried! :P

I noticed they locked the Crosshair VII bios update thread so no one can comment. What I find somewhat comedic is this line at the bottom of it "Note that there's a known issue with DC fan calibration on the C7H UEFI builds. This will be patched in a future update." We don't have this line in our thread with just the letter 6 changed? How interesting.

The best piece of advice I can give is, return it and buy something else.

I looked at several other boards but none of them had the amount of USB ports this one does or I would. I plan on letting XFR handle the CPU and would just like to get the RAM to 3200 with decent timings. So just trying to make the best of the situation using the best BIOS out of those available.

USB hubs are a thing. The best BIOS will differ depending on the person answering. Some of us have very different hardware from others. 1602 I would say is the best from what I remember. Others will have their personal favorites based on the type of RAM they are using, if their fan headers quit or not, etc. I hope your experience is much better than what most of us have experienced with this disaster.
