The fact that he was very vocal and interactive with the community was a huge deal in my opinion, Now Asus have no one minus the rare post from a random Asus employee saying usually nothing of use.

Yeah, **** Assus man.. I really don't like them anymore and even less now Elmor left them. Its really telling that your R&D Engineer leaves your company..

I think he is better off with Gigabyte too and i hope the best for him. I knew there was something going on since the Kitguru video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvQ0..._ujhXpW5LR4vEg

As much as I don't like Asus based on my Crosshair VI experience, competition is good for the consumer. I do hope he makes it over to Gigabyte though. I am very happy with the stability and overclock on my X470 Gaming 7 right now but the Gigabyte BIOS definitely lacks some of the more advanced features unless you use a modded BIOS to unlock them. I messaged one of Gigabyte's Discord channel admins about his Asus departure and linked them to the thread and post. The admin said he would pass it on to the right people because they recognize who he is and what he has accomplished for Asus and in the overclock.net community. He will be an asset to whatever company he decides he wants to go with for a future job and career.

haven't been on this forum for a while so sorry if i'm not the only one who asked the following the last couple of days/hours/minutes/seconds :P
But is there any new Bios update for the CH6? last time i checkd 6201 was already up for 2 months and i read that they skipped one Agesa update and are w8ing for begin november/end of oktober for the next bios release with the newest ages update.

And you it's a shame Elmor left asus (which was made public quite a while ago) and i also wish him the best at gigabyte ?
Me also have a realy bad taste in my mouth when i comes to asus the f uped there own reputation! Asus products where good, verry good even now with the last gen of mobo's asus screwd up BIG ASS TIME specialy with the ch6!!!
And yes i think competition is a good deal (specialy for our wallets as a consumer) but it also brings TIME PRESSURE, every comapny wants to be the first so quality control will be less to beat the comeptition, hardware (and software alike look at the gaming industry) will be rused out and will fail or 2 years after the purchase and 10000000 updates later it will finaly almost kinda operate/work as advertised (look at the ch6 2 years later it is improved butt still not as advertise!!!!)
Personlay i prefer asus still 100000 times over FING gigabyte f*&@ers still screwin consumer with every REVISION motherboard.
I still can remeber my old AM3+ mobo, i had revision 3 or something on the box and on the website it was advertise as a premium mobo (with a verry special premium price ofcours) 1 year later Hardware.info made a articla about REVISION motherboard in particulair.
Gigabyte (and others, but gigabyte held the crown by far) kept advertising very premium aspect but with every revision the remove stuff from the mobo, so the extra fast wifi chip was availeble on revision 1 and was indeed fast on revision 3 you got a crappy crap crap chip, the japanese high quality capicitors where exchanged for crappy brandless chinese crap.. etc.. etc.. etc.... this was a big scandel a few years ago.
So i canged my am3+ mobo and my amd 8350 felt like brand new got like 30% fps increase and everything overall was 10000 time more smooth boot times where lowerd +/- 25% and most important **** WAS STABLE.

So gigabyte is a no go for me, and now with asus crapping out more and more (alot of people around me have problems with asus hardware) there are less and less brands of pc hardware which i trust and sell decent hardware :S

There is a beta 6301, which fixes the fan issues.
An official update with new Agesa was announced for mid-october, but now it is said that it will appear in mid-november.

RMA it! Mine barely lasted close to a year, but Asus did replace it. It is sitting int he box though not being used because I refuse to use it because I don't want the hassles, frustrations, and instabilities the board was plagued with.

Have not moved beyond bios 6201.

Do not understand all this unstable overclocks. Maybe my setup is just more compatible. Have not had issue ever since found my settings. Some have said that if needing to increase LLC, then voltages are not set correctly. Call bs on that. For my rig to be over 24hr stable on Prime95, anything outside of LLC on cpu set to 3 and soc set to 2 fails. There is not a safe voltage setting for my 1700X @ 3.9GHz and ram set to 3466 (14-14-14-14-28-42) without LLC set the way it is…period. Obtaining the settings required using Prime95 version 28.10. After running Prime95 with the cpu set at 3.9GHz and loose timings on the ram @ 3466 (GSkill F4-3600C16D-16GTZ) to get the cpu voltages set, ran Ram Test to get the ram settings and timings down. That process netted a fully stable system for my use. After that has been smooth sailing ever since 6201’s release. Whether or not it makes a difference, my psu is plugged into a line conditioner.

    Bios settings attached as pdf.
