I have a Ryzen 7 1800X with Crosshair Vi Hero Wifi bios version 1501. In bios, I have the multiplier set at 40, but in Windows CPU-Z is showing the multiplier as 22. Why is this, and how do I make Windows show the multiplier at 40?

I just ran some tests with Sensemi off and on auto, with Semsemi off I am indeed getting a -+10C higer difference. This being on 1403.

So if Sensemi is the culprit, two questions:

    - Which is the right temps, Sensemi on or off?
    - Is there any drawback turning Sensemi off? Will I miss any features on the chip?

@bkrieger: It seems that you have the "stuck at 2,2 Ghz problem". You can search this forum, there you will see also the 1600x thread with this problem. For me altering the BCLK to 104,8 fixed it. Give it a try, but then reduce your multiplier ;-)

Thank You. I read the forum posts on the 1600x 2.2 ghz issue, and some recommended overclocking the p-state. I tried that, and CPU-z is still reading the multiplier at 22. So I changed the BCLK to 104.8. Only thing I don't like about that is you can't *get an exact core of 4000 and ram 3200. Anyway, with the BCLK at 104.8 CPU- Z is reading the multiplier at 32, which a total speed of 3340 MHz. That's better, but not how it should be.

Is this a known bug using the Ryzen 1800X, or is it just caused by the latest bios update?*

Hey guys, I have no sleep option after flashing 1501.
    powercfg -a saying :

    Standby (S1)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

    Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

    Standby (S3)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

    Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.

    Hybrid Sleep
    Standby (S3) is not available.

What could be the problem? Settings are default. Could not find anything related except zen states which are set to auto.

Lot of people blame the BIOS when they're overclocking their processors way above the limit they have been designed for, for example it's always BIOS fault when 1700 can't run @ 3.8 or 3.9, completely disregarding the fact that it would have been 1800x chip if it would be ok to run that at that speed etc. etc. same goes with RAM. Everything is BIOS and ASUS fault. There's no a thing called users fault, no way - all is ASUS's fault they're only professionals who build these, luckily we have these tech-kids who know better.

So go on blame BIOS and board.

I must be luckiest person in the world, when I don't have such problems people decribe ever. All is working as they should.

Then get into PStates, set PState 0's VID to anything but default and tell me your CPU still enters PState 0 in Windows.
