gupsterg, thanks for the tip. In Bios 6401 at Level 1 I get @ 94000 in Aida64 Queen whereas I get 96100 in Bios 6302 with PBO enabled.
Both Bios settings allow me to run my Flare-X 3200 ram at 3466 speed solid.
I’ll stay with Bios 6302 and PBO enabled unless and until they release a 6400 series Bios where PBO is enabled for the C6H mb.Last edited by skline00; 12-18-2018 at 09:28 PM.

Yes due to PE1 having EDC of 150A it will not boost as much as plain PBO Enabled, as that is EDC 168A. On CPUs I have used on C6H/C7H I hit EDC limiter prior to PPT/TDC in profiles I tested.

A user over on the Overclock.Net forums posted a modded 6401 that restores the missing PBO Options.
And here are the instructions on how to flash the modded BIOS.
UPDATE: The modder is advising against people updating to 6401 at all right now (not just the modded version) as it is apparently bricking some boards. I personally haven't run into any issues, but isn't that always the story of the CH6?He had the following to say about it with instructions on how to recover if you get bit...
"Guys, I advise you to refrain from using 6401. I already have 2 cases of a lack of system start on this board. Technical support is aware of a critical issue. How soon will the new bios - the question.
If anyone has a problem. Here is the solution:
1) You must remove the memory modules and update / roll back the BIOS via flashback
2) Install only one module in slot B2 and start the system
3) Turn off the system
4) Install the second module and turn on the system"Last edited by mvmiller12; 12-21-2018 at 09:25 PM.

Last BIOS still doesn't fix cold boot issue from a complete power-off. This is becoming a disgusting behavior for a big company like ASUS.
I also suggest to ASUS engineers to completely review how pointers works.

Is this an out-of-season April fools joke?
My workstation is watercooled and it needs to be reliable.
Have updated to 6401. I skipped 6302.
Have issues with the WMI I didn't have on 6201.
I monitor temperatures with HWiNFO and set fan speeds with Ai Suite.
On startup HWiNFO64 fails to update sensor information from ASUS WMI.
I ran Fan Tuning in Fan Xpert 4: Fan Xpert 4 crashed, Ai Suite became unresponsive, fans and water pump were stuck at 0 RPM (neither fans nor pump were spinning, I looked and heard, my PC is sitting on the desk next to me). I had to press the hardware reset button to prevent overheating and possibly leaking.
I ran into this problem 3 times and then rolled back to 6201.
This is not a joke, this bios update could have caused thousands of euros of damage. I'm furious.
According to HWiNFO forums the new bios versions have messed up the WMI hardware monitoring support and unpredictable things happen when the chip is queried for data. They're waiting on Asus to fix the problem.
I am still waiting for asus to fix the broken power-led and Hyperx ram Aura support, to me problems seem to be increasing not to diminish.Last edited by PwnSensei; 01-01-2019 at 03:07 PM.
