Had to change soc voltage dot lower it reached from 7000 % to 24k %, my current setting on 3400 is 1.03xx(old bios setting). I know it is high but I can atleast getting some understanding.

The hardest part is reconnecting the antennas. Otherwise two screws to remove the housing from the motherboard, one to open the housing and only one holding the M.2 in place. It takes stable hands or LOTS of patience to get those antennas back on.

Also, I didn't have realtek, I had Qualcomm Atheros and since my linux days .. I've hated both Broadcom and Qualcomm

Hi, CROSSHAIR VI HERO BIOS 6808 is available I see. But "ASUS strongly recommends installing AMD chipset driver 18.50.16 or later before updating BIOS", yet "Version 18.40.02" is the latest on the Asus d/l site, and AMD's site shows "Version 18.10.1810" https://www.amd.com/en/support/chips...ocket-am4/x370 Can someone clear this mess up for me please? What chipset driver should I be installing? A link would be nice, thx!

Maybe it's just a precaution regarding next gen CPU support? I for one don't understand ASUS's nomenclature when it comes to version numbering. Can't find anything related to their versionnumbers after installing drivers.

I'll try the new BIOS later, running on AMD's official chipset driver (18.10.1810).

    Fan smoothing.

I just flashed the latest bios update. Has anyone ever had working fan smoothing with this motherboard? I can't recall it ever working properly, once. It seems to totally ignore my settings.

I am using Noctua fans (CPU PWM and 2 x CF PWM, 1 x DC CF at the rear ). I manually set my cpu fan temps/speeds as a result of the fan spikes that happen immediately with any temperature changes (higher minimum rpm for the cpu that doesn't ramp until 35c).

It didn't work with the original case fans that came with the case either.

boost clock rarely even hits 3.8 under minor load with this bios, using the same settings as the previous version where I would hit 4.3 under small load and 4.1 under full load. Gonna mess with a couple things and see if I can fix it otherwise going back to older bios
