BIOS 1602 have some issue with bus clock. It automatically increase to 102,8MHz for no reason. Of course i've set it manually to 100MHz.

According to the description modify "memtest solution;" whatever that means. Proof as to descriptions, look under the Prime X370-Pro. The description on that new bios clearly states AGESA 1006b. 1602 only provides a cryptic tweak that has weakened whatever previous bios it was based on.

Hard to believe that an optical drive could cause so much havoc with a bios. Literally just replaced the optical drive with one on the device QVL and the board not only posts quicker but also has better throughput.

the new bios didn't change anything for me, it still takes 1.375v for my 1800x to reach 4ghz and 1.4v for 2 sticks of ram to sit at 3200mhz, anything lower and i crash, i also still have problems with cold boots, can anyone suggest anything to lower my voltage, the 1800x should be binned better than this, the cpu never goes over 55c under a stress test, i am curious myself if voltage can be adaptive up to 1.45v and last.

1.375V for 4GHz is actually pretty darned good. Especially if it's an older chip.

Many need 1.4V+ and very few can do it with 1.35V or lower.

1.4v for 3200 is really high. *I run my memory at 3333mhz cas 14 14 14 14 at 1.34v and even if I push it to 3466 it runs at 1.35v. *Is your memory rated for 3200? *Also my 1800x runs 3.95 at 1.33-1.35v but pushing it to 4ghz it boots at 1.36v but can't complete a stress test. *I'm sure it would be stable at 1.365 but the temperature it reaches is high and to me it's not worth it when I can keep a safe 1.33v at 3.95ghz. *I'm not sure why everyone pushes for 4ghz it just seems the cons outweigh the pros for overclocking to 4ghz or higher.

yes it's corsair vengence 3200 mhz ram, it will not even boot under 1.4v at 3200mhz, i would have to put it at 2933 to get the 1.35v,its been 6 months since release, this should have been sorted by now, i am considering going back to intel when the 8700k comes out and a different motherboard company,i am really disappointed with asus, i expected better, my ram is 15-15-15-36 at 1t

Your problem is low quality memory. Simple as that. The Hynix memory, even on Intel, has more trouble clocking high than the Samsung memory.

Ryzen's DDR4 IMC is decent (good, really, considering it was the first attempt at a high performance DDR4 controller), but not as great as Intel's second generation high performance DDR4 IMC.

Welcome to the world of first generation hardware!
