I think the only thing we are waiting on is some sort of excuse as to why we won't get AGESA 1071. :P Maybe they will reuse the cold boot issue. Maybe they will come up with a new excuse. Who knows until they post it.

UEFI update with AGESA 1071 for CH6 is delayed! It will take a bit longer to accommodate this boards extra overclocking capabilities.
It is currently undergoing internal testing. Expect public release by end of month (source: overclock.net)

If the "bug" you refer to is the cold boot affliction, there is currently no fix for this.

If one set of hardware that utilizes the same chips except for the added bells and whistles the other board possesses and does not suffer from said issue, the problem becomes hardware related and they will never admit to that because it would be admitting to a defect and poor quality control. Dollars to donuts, AGESA 1007 does not solve the "cold" boot issue. That is the only explanation why support is so cagey concerning the issue...squirrel! Pleasant day in paradise...went to the Bahamas for a second. Yes indeed the board does look cool. Hope we were of help...have a pleasant day.

In my opinion...you need to remove standby power for it to be a cold boot...so the lights on your motherboard stop lighting.
Even if you turn off the power supply but turn it back on before the lights shut down, even that doesnt seem to behave as a cold boot...so the power must run out first.
Doing a restart from windows or shutdown and then later booting up with physical power button, doesnt seem to look like a cold boot for me.

But even Iam not 100% sure with this board, thats why I mentioned "Correct me if Iam wrong".

Many things seem to point that its like that though.
And usually cold boot means to remove (interrupt) all the power and then start. (truly cold)

    Hey Neoony,

    You are correct!

Cold boot is when all power has been removed. i.e. Shut down and power off at the wall (or PSU switch off) for at least 30 seconds to allow residual current to dissipate.

If you read OCN thread (all 30000 posts ) you would know beta BIOS 9945 had workaround for it. It was said that new one will have it applied.

That being the case, nothing I have changed settings wise made a difference. The rig always, since day one, was never able to boot from cold without failing first. The only thing that has saved me was increasing the number of attempts to train the ram. My experience has been that the UEFI attempts something twice, resets both times, before training the ram. The training fails once and then next attempt all is fine. Mine has been a warm boot issue that manipulating CLDO_VDDP has been successful for a period of time in curing. I have three values I alternate between. Any voltage outside of those three and the warm boot issue comes back sooner. The only plus is that I have been one of the few that has been able to get 3466 running at CAS14 without stability issues. Was running CAS15 for the longest time till finally got 14 nailed down. Thanks for the educational point.
