all this time and still asus hasn't fixed the BIOS support? this is an outrage

AMD is officially supporting Smart Access Memory (Resizable BAR) on their Ryzen 3000 (Zen 2) CPU's now. I hope this means my ASUS ROG Crosshair Vi Extreme (X370) gets a BIOS update for it soon. It better.

short instruction how to get Zen3 support on this motherboard
1. download archive - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TEw...SGuryyFev/view
2. unpack archive to some folder and create usb bootable flashdrive using rufus-3.13p.exe, copy afudos and bios.rom to bootable usb flashdrive
3. boot from USB drive and type in command line:
afudos bios.rom /gan
4. wait until flashing process come over and reboot the system, install Zen3 CPU

you can always flashback to original bios using flashback button (just make sure that you have some older CPU to boot up)

note: bios is from Asrock b450 Pro R2.0 (v 4.50), do not update it to newer agesa if you have Zen3 CPU

if you have Zen2 CPU and want to get SAM\Resize bar support - update bios to v4.80 Agesa 1.2.0.0 (download bios from Asrock website)

What is the point of BIOS 8002 for the C6H/C6E?

* Fan control is improved
* PBO fmax enhancer has been added

but...

* It is still based on AGESA v1 1.0.0.6, like 7901, so no new real features.
* No outstanding bugs got fixed. It still has the >1800MHz fclk reset/desync after waking up from sleep bug, which is >1.5 years old, and you had it fixed for the C7H back in October 2020 on the same AGESA v1 1.0.0.6 stack yet this fix never got back to us. Both boards shared the same bugs and quirks until the C7H got AGESA v2, so...
* Otherwise, behavior is the same as 7901 as per user reports.
* If it had the USB fix included in AGESA v2 1.2.0.1A / 1.2.0.2 it'd be explicitly stated in the changelog like every board that got it, but it's not in there.
* You've added an SPI flash protection module to discourage flashing mods. Really? At least we have flashback to go back to 7901 and flash whatever we want.

It's the same generic ASUS changelog "Improve system performance and compatibility". When are you going to fix the long standing bugs that you already fixed in other products, or match what Asrock did for their 300 series customers?

Reminder that Asrock provided experimental AGESA v2 1.1.0.0D BIOSes for most of their 300 series boards back in December 2020, including their flagship and direct competition to this board, the X370 Taichi... and yes, all these boards have 16MB flash chips like the C6H.

Oh well, we can always crossflash AGESA v2 based BIOSes from other manufacturers to enable newer features.

Let that sink in.

This is some quality BS. They go out of their way to inconvenience people instead of improving the product.

For Asus C6H is just like any other a320 mb out there. And see that some horrendous b450 gets sam, resizable bar, zen 3 support just makes all this even worse.
Plus, we have bugs that are 1 year and more old, and Asus literally doesn't absolutely care about it.
Never never never I'll buy an Asus product again, this is simply ridiculous.
