    Has anyone overclocked duel rank past 2666 ? I have 3200mhz 32GB 14c and I can't go above 2666. Best is 2770 with 104 BCLk. Anything more and it won't boot. 😕

    I am on 082 bios and 1800x processor *

Bios 0083 makes no difference. Still having the 2400Mhz bug. I would greatly appreciate a response and internal testing from Team Elmor. See my prior post...

    I am on 082 bios and 1800x processor *
i have had my 3000mhz team group dark ram at 3200!
and i am on bios 82... i set 2666 and up bclk till i hit 3200 i then turn down cpu to 4.60ish/4.40ish ghhz on 1.425 cpu volts.....i set pll 1.8 voltage to 1.98 helps bclk....i set ram voltage at 1.3 reason being llc pushes it to 1.37 in windows...i set ram boot voltage to 1.4
i set the procODT to 80 ohms ....i set ram timings to auto ....my ram/MB auto sets timings to 16-16-16-16-39
i also set the 2.5 sb voltage to 2.54 helps bclk ......i can boot up 3200 ram and do a few test's but i can not get it 100% stable
i have had 3000 stable .....but for some reason i can't even get it to do 3000 anymore ......and its being a ***** even getting it to run 2666
i do not like upping the bclk because it sets my pci-e lanes to gen 2.....if you have pci-e locked to 3.0 put them back in auto when upping bclk
locking pci-e to gen 3 and uping bclk will stop you from booting if you raise bclk to high...i think over 105 not sure off the top of my headClick image for larger version.

In general this is what I found to be important:
    - Don't use D.O.C.P. profiles, set it to manual and adjust your timings as per specifications.
    - Set the Memory Frequency to 2666, anything over it fails for me.
    - Set the DRAM voltage to 1.35.
    - Disable the "Core Performance Boost". This is important!!! From my observations having it to AUTO leads to attempts to boost the CPU clock over 5 GHz when higher than default 100 MHz BCLK is used. This is causing the rig to fail booting or become unstable.
    - Increase BCLK until you reach your limits. It shall be set to 120 if you want to achieve 3200.

If you still have issues try manually setting the PCIE to GEN 2.

Please let me know if anyone can confirm those tweaks useful.

In addition to those 4x8 @ 2666 Dominators I'm having 4x8 LPX modules, but I did not made any tests with them. Anyway if anyone is interested in to see if the LPX-es can be overclocked with Ryzen, let me know and I'll do some testing.

Tomorrow I'm going to receive 2x16 @ 3200 Dominators. I'd like to see if those could be pushed higher, while I'm quite in doubt about that. I'll share the results once I'm done.

    Hello

Increasing BCLK does not require Core Performance Boost to be disabled. The processor speed will not exceed what has been manually set.

Possibly you're right and I'm not pretending to know how this settings affects the CPU. But from my experience having it enabled causes a lot of issues when overclocking, and I found some weird CPU frequency spikes with it.

So to make it simple, keep it off while testing RAM/CPU overclock. Try to turn it on/auto once you're done.

    Just managed to run a 2x16 GB kit at 3200. It's Corsair Dominator Platinum @ 3200 CL16 (CMD32FX4M2C3200C16).

I was unable to find whenever this is single or dual rank DRAM, and I'm curious if anyone knows about that?

In regards to rank 2 memory hitting 3200mhz...

What's the point of setting the bclk to 120 if it's going to severely limit your pci-e performance? That's what I'm not getting. I thought anything over basically 104Mhz will start to trigger downgrading the pcie-e 3 to 2 and eventually 1.

The performance difference between 2666Mhz ddr4 (at factory latencies) and 3200Mhz ddr4 (that you probably had to relax latencies to get to boot) doesn't seem even close to what you're losing by being downgraded in pcie spec.

    No?
