Well, adaptive mode was introduced with the Maximus VI series mothebroards, it's a power saving feature that lets your cpu sit cool and quiet while at idle.
The only drawback is sometimes adaptive mode will draw a little more voltage under load but you can counter it with an offset.Last edited by Nate152; 03-27-2017 at 08:37 PM.

Ok, understood.
Now my idle temp is 35c, if I dicede, that it should be brought down - i'll use adaptive mode.
Summer is comming.
