So after playing Destiny 2 for about 6 weeks here is my take on it and this is just my opinion so please don't be offended.

Destiny 2 is a great shooter if you're just playing to shoot stuff, as mentioned before it has some of the best graphics and visuals to date and runs very good. But once you reach the power level cap of 305 there really isn't much left to do except try and get all the exotic weapons and maybe the new ships. You could level up another character but I don't see the point, the game just feels empty after completing everything, well almost everything, I have yet to play the Leviathan Raid which I still want to do.

Back in 2007 Bungie released Halo 2 for pc which I thought was a great game, the story was good but where it excelled was the multiplayer. It was 8 vs 8 with dedicated servers, you could choose what game mode you wanted to play and the option to play with different types of vehicles. Capture the flag was cool, someone could drive the warthog or spectre while someone manned the mounted machine gun and someone could ride in the passenger seat with the flag and hope you don't get blown up with a rocket on the way back to your flag. A game could last anywhere from 1-3 hours, lots of good memorable moments with Halo 2 and I really enjoyed that game.

The multiplayer in Destiny 2 leaves much to be desired, it's 4 vs 4 with random game modes that you CAN'T choose with no dedicated servers or vehicles. It's very much like call of duty with different perks and a fight for power ammo. There are stations around the map on a timer where you can get power ammo for your power weapon, this is where everyone usually runs to and where the fight usually begins. Once you get power ammo you and your team mates can't get it again for another 1 minute and 30 seconds from that station.

There are 5 different multiplayer modes in Destiny 2:

Clash - Team Deathmatch which I like best.
Supremacy - Team Deathmatch plus after you kill an enemy, pick up their crest for an additional point.
Control - Capture 3 zones and hold them for points.
Countdown - Plant a bomb at 1 of 2 points on the map and defend it until it explodes.
Survival - Team Deathmatch with a limited number of lives, once lives are used up the round is over.

You pretty much know who is going to win the match after the first minute which is a big turn off.

Bungie just released the Curse of Osiris expansion pack and along with it new more powerful weapons, the expansion pack also elevates the power level cap to 350. In the video, the second game "Clash" the red laser gun (Fusion Rifle - I'm not sure what it's called) all but instantly takes you out and is one of the new weapons. As I'm seeing it Bungie is forcing you to get the expansion pack for the new more powerful weapons to compete, this is not how a game should be done. I'm seeing this as greed and is another BIG turn off for me.

I still like the game there are just some things Bungie could have done better.

Maximus IX Code - A little insight and delidded 7700k

OK, I need a little help here. I previously posted about a jack breaking off in the green,as opposed to orange or black, audio port on my ASUS Maximus IX Code mb audio port. I received lots of suggestions, but, up to now, it’s still in there. It’s causing problems because, in the middle of a game, sometimes several times, it makes contact and it’s read by the computer. I get the pop up window saying, “You’ve just plugged (or unplugged) an audio cable. “ This causes my game to freeze, stutter and drop out of the game. This drives me crazy. Now, the dilemma, I’m thinking about putting in a dedicated sound card. Any recommendations?? In addition, what changes have to be made in the bios to turn off the onboard audio and switch to the sound card?? I tried this during my initial build, but it was an older card and I could never get it to work. Thoughts??

    Hi StoneCold5201

To disable the onboard sound go into the bios, Advanced Tab, Onboard Devices Configuration and at the very top Set HD Audio Controller to disabled.

There are a ton of sound cards to choose from, what's your price range and did you have a particular brand in mind ?

I had an older Audigy and even though did all of that, no sound. The software that came with it recognized the card, but no sound. That’s why I asked. I thought maybe I missed something but no. I’ve always used creative products so that’s where I’m headed. Soundblasterx AE5. Thought??

I'd like to make a BIG apology to Bungie because anyone can get the red laser rifle.

It's an exotic weapon, the Prometheus Lens Trace Rifle and you get it from Xur.

Thank you for the Curse of Osiris expansion pack, I won't mention any names.

There are some new things with the Curse of Osiris expansion pack, the most prominent is probably the forging of weapons at the lighthouse.

There is one new strike " A Garden World", here it is at 1440p, highest settings with the latest Nvidia driver 388.59.

FPS in the upper right corner.

Clean Memory is enabled by default, it likely cleans data from the ram on a cold boot.
