AURA is lagging

Hey, i have an issue with AURA on my Maximus IX Hero.
If i set the lighting settings in the software to something dynamic, it will always lag for some seconds.
Example: If i set the settings to "comet", the cycle will stop at some point (RAM or LED strip most of the time) and stay there for like 1-2 second. after that it goes on. that happens in almost every sequence. Same behavior for "flash and dash", "strobing".

The following parts are involved:
Maximus IX Hero
GTX 1070 Strix
G.Skill Trident Z RGB
Phanteks P400S TG + RGB Strip (connected to RGB_header 1)

The LED control of the case is turned off (of course)

Any ideas on this issue?

Good Luck, I can't get it to save setting, every time I reboot I have to reset the colors I had chosen......Can't count how many times I have un-install and re-installed.. Unfortunately I just turn it off now!!
I go back to the 8088 days.... Asus MB's, P5N32-E SLI Q6600, Rampage Formula X48 still running @ 3.5, Maximus VIII Hero Alpha.

Turned out it's the CAM software (v 3.3.1) i am using with my NZXT Kraken X62 causing this problem.

If the program is completely closed from the taskbar, everything works fine.

I should have suspected that earlier, since there a so much more problems with CAM. This software is a piece of trash.
