Anyone with a rve and g.skill rgb ram. Any issues with the memory? Seen g.skill release a new software to control the dimms for x99. I've just ordered this ram and want to make sure I won't have issues. If I there are issues I will then cancel my order before the etailer does ship*

Like wise, on my type of ram i will be shortly ordering very soon.
RAMPAGE V EDITION 10 QVL listed it as one of their tested or verified.
But it's always comforting to hear it from others.

Stick to the C14 kits that are listed on the vendors website for X99, you will potentially save yourself some headaches.

They should work, the RVE supports up to 3300MHz ram speed but it's up to the cpu's IMC if it can handle it.

The maximum speed the board is capable of also depends on the kit being used, which includes whether it's been validated on the platform in question. Less experienced users taking this chance should be aware tuning can be necessary in order to get the kit to run at or near the maximum speed of the kit if used on another platform.

But they are labeled as dual channel only. That's the issue

Ok some feedback

1. Kit runs in quad channel and all sticks are recognised
2. Can control the leds on all dimms with no issues (initially one dimm wasn't being controlled but a power off fixed it)
3. Can run at 2800mhz with xmp specified timings (Manual tuning)*
4. Running vccsa at 1.05v

*Have run benchmarks etc and so far no crashes or bsods

Initially I tried xmp settings and t would not boot ... So still gonna try for 3000mhz*
