Can anyone tell me what this mode 3 does under the dram settings of rampage tweak*

I get mode 1 is compatibility and mode 2 is performance *

Not sure what Mode 3 does, but I did just notice that setting Mode 1 heavily increases the CPU VCCIO 1.05v voltage, at least on my system, (RVE 3504 Bios)

For instance on my system if I leave the Mode on AUTO, my CPU VCCIO 1.05v will sit at .9984v. When I set it to Mode 1, the CPU VCCIO shoots all the way up to 1.18v, in which if you are manually tuning that setting on your own is actually in the "red", which is concerning.

Will be curious too if anyone knows what Mode 3 does!?...

yup mode 1 on my system sets VCCIO to 1.23v*
Mode 3 and my volts across the board are in check. Have run aida64 and mode 3 is slightly quicker across the board for read write and copy . Will do another test to ensure repeatability of results and will post them

Also going to test 2800 15-17-17 1T and compare to 3000 16-18-18-38 2T*

which is the best to use? 2800mhz right, seems obvious?

I'm using a bit slower RAM settings at greater benefit I think. 63782

If you run this test often enough you will see plenty of variation so the difference between read write copy numbers here is not enough to tell anything...

However yes, 2800 15-17-17-32 1T I would expect to be better than 3000 16-18-18-38 2T

you are correct ... In deed this is the case. But on the whole after me running this bench a few times I can safely conclude that
2800 15cas 1t > 3000mhz xmp mode 3 > 3000mhz xmp mode 1

I 'd love to get information about these functions. Auto, 1, 2, 3.... It is scary to be beating around the bush... 😉
