Z170 SKYL users would probably be better off if there were separate Z170 BIOSs for KBL and SKYL. A SKYL user who wants the latest like Speed Shift etc. shouldn't have to be tripping over KBL introduced bugs. I've never seen moving from a 2XXX series BIOS to a 3XXX series fraught with so many issues on any other Asus motherboard.

Typically, a 3XXX series BIOS is where things are finalized for platform end-of-life. Instead, Intel comes along and convinces everyone that KBL is just a SKYL refresh like Devil's Canyon, yet it has to have its own uCode. Did Devil's Canyon require its own uCode? Anyway, what seems to be happening is we're getting kludged firmware with similar teething problems we saw back in 2015 for SKYL.
