Is original manufacturer warranty transferable?

If I were to purchase a slightly, gently used PG279Q, that was say, only a month or so old, but the original owner had already registered it, would I be able to transfer the remaining warranty to myself, or would the transfer basically void/end the warranty?

Thanks anyway, but I no longer need an answer to this one. Just bought a new, but open-box unit that came with everything, including the warranty card. I should be good to go. I think I got a great price for $570.95! I won't be able to really put this baby through it's paces until my next build but I'll use it with my wife's i5-6600K/GTX 1050Ti rig to check it out. After that, I may pickup a DVI to HDMI converter and use it with my current GTX 260 SLI gaming rig until my new build early next spring.
