Hi,

i got this G752VS-GC291T.

When i buy a Nvidia Vision set with Shutter glasses and IR-Sender, can i see 3D videos on my screen? The display has 120Hz and should be capable of it. But i barely saw any comments regarding this.

Hi, you may want to ask around more, but seems like the excitement for 3D has disappeared.

According to the nvidia website, the last (mainstream?) Nvidia Geforce notebook graphics processors supporting 3D were the GeForce GTX 660M/670M/675M a few generations ago, so don't expect you will be able to get it working on the G752VS unfortunately. For the link below click on the Geforce Graphics Processors near the top of the page to see the list.

As far as i understand, all new GTX graphic cards can handle 3D from the calc power point of view. The question is - is the monitor able to show 120hz.

As far as i know, my G752VS has an 120Hz monitor. Can anyone confirm?

For the nvidia link that we are both checking notice in the picture near the top of the page that mentions you need an nvidia 3d vision kit + 3D vision-ready display + compatible nvidia geforce card + PC with Microsoft Vista or Windows 7 .

If you don't have a compatible nvidia geforce card it will not work of course (there is more to Nvidia 3D Vision support than only calculation power), so we do need to make sure the nvidia graphics for the G752VS will really support 3D or not because not every nvidia card will as far as I know.

Just below that picture nvidia was nice enough to provide more links for "Desktop/Notebook PC", "Supported 3D HDTV's", "Supported 3D Projectors", and "Geforce Graphics Processors".
Check the "Geforce Graphics Processors' list which doesn't include the GTX 1070 used by the G752VS although it is possible Nvidia's list could be out of date.

Edit: Thanks to Sheltem for the help and screenshot in the next post below, but there is an updated page on the Geforce site indicating the GTX 1070 will support 3D vision: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/3d-vision/supported-gpus

It may be just due to lack of interest, but as it was mentioned, there is no mention of 3D support for the G752VS on the ASUS site, so wondering if anybody has actually tried it and how well it works, but I may worry too much.

When i get an cheap Nvidia 3D Vision 2 Kit, i will give it a try.

When i see product informations: https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/ROG-G752VS/
i see following information. "ROG G752VS features super-fast 120Hz wide-view panels".

So 3d capable graphic card + 120hz dispay should be available to play in 3d. Plus - when i remember correctly, i saw a setting point 3D configuration in the nvidia system configuration - but was not able to enter nvidia system configuration yesterday. Anyway - i will give it a try when i get the possibility.

Alright, good luck with that and please let us know how it goes if you get the chance.

Also, don't know all that much about it, but expecting games or media need to be designed to work with 3D vision (?), so wondering if there is any new stuff out there supporting it, or you are just planning to use it for older stuff.

Anyway, not sure how up to date this list is, but Nvidia's website lists some 3d vision supported games too and just curious what people are using 3D for these days.
