Windows 7 on GL553 series?
Has anyone try and succeed in installing Windows 7 on a GL553 laptop? I attempted once and failed halfway through the process.
It began well, but after the "copying files" stage, it hit me with this error screen.Last edited by geutz; 04-20-2017 at 08:51 AM. Reason: Additional info

I don't think GL553 supports other OS, I have tried Linux Ubuntu on it, but it's not working. Seems like it is locked down by ASUS.

Windows 7 does not support true UEFI mode. Check the BIOS and see if you can change it to CSM mode.
