Question Another problem (SATA ports / storage disks)

    Monin guys,

I tried to raise the MHz but don't know if it worked ... look at the pictures.
    BIOS says 3600 but CPU-Z 1800 ... ?

The CPU-Z values changes between 800 and 4500MHz.
The CPU-Z SPD slot values are identical

But now I have another problem.
No matter which slot I try, I only can use 1 SATA disk at a time. (tried all slots after another - all slots are ok!)
If I connect a SATA DVD writer + SATA disk all seems to be nice but if I try to connect another SATA Disk it will not be listed neither attached.
(DVD + disk = ok; disk + disk = fail) looks weird to me...

I know that, if I connect a M.2 drive (my "C"), SATA slots 5/6 are disabled - therefor I only tried to cennect the ohter ones.
(sorry for the bad picture quality - my smartphone isn't the newest)

    Hi,

regarding the show of "1800" ... you have Dual Data Rate RAM. Hence the frequency displayed in the tool is 1800, implying that the RAM is running at 3600MHz.

    Facepalm ... of course!
    Thank you Woelund!!

Ok, the RAM issue has been corrected - what about the SATA slots?
    Any ideas?

Are the disks new? have they been formatted? a new disk will be visible in the bios but not in Windows until you go to Disk Management and format the new disk

    Hi Menthol!

Yes, the disks are both new (HGST 2TB) - but a few minutes ago I found the fairure.
You don't believe what it was..............

    It was a &§"ß$§% cable!
A NEW data cable out of the Formula box - never thought that could be the problem.

Now (and hopefully for the next 10 years) the system runs ... and I have to rest (nervs and fingers are ruined).
CU guys - and thanx a lot!!
