W10 reboots after complete shutdown

I thought I had accidentally hit restart yesterday when the computer shut down completely and then rebooted itself. I was simply shutting it down. It happened again today. Made sure I hit shutdown. It did shutdown completely but then restarted by itself within just a few seconds. The only difference was the addition of Asus' new Gladius ii and software which I installed yesterday. Checked for viruses=0. I did change the setting today to automatically restart on startup and recovery in system properties.

Any other suggestions? Causes? Thanks.*

I've had some difficulty with power options in W10 too, I think it's gotten too complicated for its own good. In your case the first thing I would do is go to all your "Power Management" tabs for all your devices, and make sure that you have the checkboxes set to allow the devices to turn off to save power, and in some cases NOT allow them to turn Windows back on. Network controllers can be a culprit but mouse can do it too.

Hello, that happened to me until I deactivated the ": EEE" options in the LAN adapter options "activate to receive magic packets" and all the boot options through LAN. Since then whenever I turn it off it is not turned back on until I turn it on

This photo is from the internet, but the options are the same (disable all)

After changing the setting to automatically restart on startup and recovery in system properties, it has not repeated. ??

I will look at those magic packet settings too.

Another bizarre thing is the power options that Dave mentioned. I had a balanced power plan set. Somehow I guess with the April Creators Update, it changed to high performance. My CPU was running at 4.3 all the time and I didn't know it. Had to fix that too. ??

Shutting down is a coin toss on my board, heads it stays off, tails it comes back to life. Keeps it interesting.*

Well that little tweak didn't help. Went to plan b and unchecked fast boot in power options. Maybe that will help. ??
