front panel audio hissing
i recently put this system together and i plugged my headset in today and i get this hissing sound (its more like a high pitched squeal) i was wondering if anyone else had this issue or if its just my motherboard. im using the onboard audio. the rear outputs work fine with no hissing. please help its driving me nuts. thanks in advance

Please check your front panel header to see if there is dust or any other contaminates that might be causing this interference. Also look at the motherboard connector too.

You should also inspect the front header cables for damage. Depending on the case people have found everything from frayed cables to bad grounding causing problems.

hey thanks guys i just tested the audio with a different cases fp audio connectors and it is an issue with my current fp audio ports. just need to find a place to get a replacement. thanks again
