G74SX Crash Overclocking

Hi, I'm a new member here 🙂 I own a G74SX and the spec i'll list below. Now i'm using the asus gpu tweak utility v2.0.3. I tried to set the gpu clock to max and mem clock to max too and my laptop crashed. I tried many time until gpu clock 950MHz and mem clock 3400MHz and it's ok but anything above that it'll crash. The questions are Why above the last setting crash? Is there anyway to set the tweak setting correctly and safely for this laptop series?

My laptop spec:

3D Vision = Support
CPU = 2630QM
GPU = GTX 560M 3GB
RAM = 16GB 1333MHz
HDD = 2x500GB 7200RPM
OS = Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Experiencing crashes above 950Mhz Core and 3400MHz Memory clock is to be expected.

The reason you are experiencing instability is because the clock frequencies are no longer stable as they require more voltage and or a lower operating temperature to stabilize the hardware.

950Mhz is a good clock for your graphics card.
