However, I just looked up the Crosshair VI Extreme and have to say it's looks very nice! I don't know any details about it, but it looks very promising. I still will NEVER go with such a weak core logic such as the X370, but for those that don't care about core logic and want the Summit Ridge platform, the ASUS ROG Crosshair VI Extreme is the ONLY way to go!!!!!!

Thanks for bringing that board to my attention. Also, thanks to ASUS for listening to my many, many, many tweets to them about why they only offered the Hero as there best AM4 board, and why that sucked. Ok, they probably never cared about my tweets to them. lol

Great board, black-dark, E-ATX, huge socket,...
This is best AMD motherboard ever made. Now only if processor is capable to be overclocked 500MHz that would be great.
But Intel go with Turbo Boost 3.0 and maybe we could not expect manual OC similar to Haswell-EX.

I just look motherboards from different brands, I don't know how others could advertise self as BEST MOTHERBOARD EVER or similar things.
ASRock X399 Taichi have Intel sign on Port shield...??? I mean Intel logo look cool and could be on any brand but not with X399 chipset.
They should put AMD logo to shine Red. Maybe is sign for Intel Gigabit LAN.

Its great to see most of these ROG motherboards are equipped with built in wifi module. Its such a shame that Crosshair VI Hero doesn't come with one out of the box

Release date 10 August, well the Threadripper's are released on that date, so the motherboards must be too! Right Asus?

I can bet installation AMD CPU in socket with pins will be strange experience.
People didn't used on that with AMD.

ASUS should build angled 24pin on Zenith.
Finally AMD fans will have chance to build something really good and cool in same range as premium Intel platform.
ASUS Zenith - 1950X and RX Vega or RX Vega Crossfire. If performance are not as GTX1080Ti AMD will drop price and people will concentrate on CF than.
My first build was ASUS AMD mobo and ASUS Radeon Graphic card AGP, before PCI-E.

    to be honest,

i think i peed myself a little when i saw the Threadripper socket.
    that thing is huge!
    the CPU is huge!
i wonder how much power goes in there. #mindblown

it's like christmas all over again (remember that time you stuck your face onto some store's glass window to look at your fav toy as a kid). yes, that feeling.
no siggy, saw stuff that made me sad.
