    Great, amazing board.
I just advice some people who plan to go on Coffee Lake to check compatibility of Z270 because Maximus IX Apex cost 250 and it's great board for 6 core CPU.
Both Apex boards ASUS designed for overclockers, and I really like 8+8pin and DIMM.2. Only Rampage VI Apex have better Onboard Codec I think, with shield.
I could buy board, but not Processor.

Maybe they should cut little and I/O Port shield. Just triangle close to CPU socket on some way as VRM heatsink.
But they need more work for that and than whole heatsink could be done from scratch.
Amazing board, not as Extreme but amazing and I would choose Apex. But silver part on Extreme is... no word...
ASUS should get reward for strongest IT brand and manufacturer of gaming and overclocking hardware.

If someone want advice for best computer hardware every real person will say Than you should choose ROG hardware and aliminum PC case.
    I saw Lian-Li PC-O11 aluminium/glass ROG Edition - Fantastic. That's my style for case.

Hey Praz, if you decide to take the VRM heat sink off let us know if you still get to keep the I/O shield cover or if that has to come off too. Apparently the RE6 you can take out the heat pipe to the VRM and I/O shield while keeping the top of the I/O portion. You just have to find a way to cool the 10G chip.

    That's connected to the heatpipe.

No, it isn't. Like I said, the VRM heatsink is quite good. You shouldnt need to remove it.

Yeah it is more about the monoblock that EK sells saying it can cool the CPU by an extra 9-10C over the supremacy.

It is my birthday if you want to send me a RE6 or Apex VI motherboard? You can be really nice or I may have to do something like blot out the sun for a little bit.

I figured I'd share my recent experience with a vendor I mentioned in a previous post...

I back-ordered 7820x from Provantage on Aug 2, and an Apex on Aug 4. The 7820x started showing in stock Aug 7. I've been checking back daily and they have shown anywhere between 30 and 600 over the past 2 weeks. On Aug 15, I emailed asking for an updated ETA, and got the response:
It looks like this item is on back order at the distributors warehouse.
I am showing they will receive shipment tomorrow 8-16-17
So we should have an updated eta tomorrow.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
So... another week goes by... I emailed them last night asking when this will ship, and get a response 6 hours ago:
I have requested an update for your order. As soon as I have been provided this information; I will advise you. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.
Having heard nothing else all day I called to cancel both orders. The lady told me the 7820x is not in stock even though their own website currently shows 553 in stock!
    http://www.provantage.com/intel-bx80...x~7ITEP5TT.htm

Before she hung up, she confirmed my email address, but I have not received an email saying the orders were cancelled... they both still show "in progress" (though it was only 45 minutes ago)
