I guess they will just ignore the problem this card has now... which is really annoying and very unlike Asus, I remember they kept releasing bios updates for my motherboard years after it was released... yet this.. what feels like still a new video card, I mean I just got it a few months ago, it just feels like they released it and then tried fixing it once then gave up...

    problem persist.

I tried james specs, and work for a week, crash again.

We need a solution, we buy a graphic card to play games, not to open facebook or twitter...

Have you tried these settings for the 7th state? I've been doing this while waiting for Asus to fix the bios and so far it hasn't black screened with these settings.

    What is your powersupply?

Yeap, but after a crash, the wattman "restore" default settings.

Now, after today crash, i will only try the state 7, before, i changed all of the setting like you have in a previous post, crash 2 time, one whit 17.7.2 (11/2 weeks whitout crash) and now whit 17.10.1 (2 weeks whitout crash).

My power supply is a NZXT HALE82 750W PLUS BRONCE. I dont have any problems whit other graphis card (more demanding r9 280x), and the pc still running when the rx470 crash (i can speak over teamspeak and discord whit "no signal" screen).

Today crash again after 2 weeks whit your settings, better than before, but isnt the final solution.

    Thanks james for the help.

    Your English is ok

Does your video card have the bios update from [2017/06/13] ?

With that bios update and the lowered state 7 setting I've posted above I have not had a black screen since, it's frustrating that it does not run at the speed it was sold at without the screen going black but I guess I'll just take this as a lesson of what I get when not researching properly before buying a video card and also choosing not consider Asus video cards in the future.

I download the vbios update, right click it an run as administrator, and say me that i dont need a update. I think when i installed previously the gpu tweak, the program update it.

Currently, the gpu tweak isnt installed.

If i do it wrong, i dont know how update it or check if i have the correct one.

Thanks for the assist james, your settings help me a lot to minimize the "crash", but, in my case, isnt the final solution.

When it says that it means you have that newest available bios applied.

You can view the Bios Version with GPU-Z, here is mine to compare against.

    Hi James-Pro,

Are you also experiencing issues with your RX 470?

    Hi Sputnicks,

Is your monitor losing connection or having stability issues?
Are you currently overclocking your system/graphics card?
Have you tried the latest graphics card driver (released yesterday -16/11/2017)?
