So far I've been able to get realbench stable on 4.7ghz on 1.2v using adaptive looking at some cores they have spiked up past that, but the temp difference from testing with 1.21 vs 1.2v is around 6c, i mite try 1.19v see if its stable on that.

Its time brother to move on past an 8 YO OS that's about to be no longer supported. There are no windows 7 drivers for this board or the X299 chipset. Everything is a workaround.
The only thing I can offer is following the FAQ sheets on Win 7 installs for the last two generations of MOBOs and selecting "CSM and other OS in the BIOS.

There are other issues you will run into once you get past this one.

I'm able to hit 4.8GHz at 1.21v adaptive and 4.7GHz at 1.195v with four cores on 4.9GHz at 1.28v. My chip is delidded, not by me but by CaseKings.de, and temperatures for the latter are around the high 80's and that's with a Corsair H100i GTX 240mm AIO. I think I've got a golden chip, well almost. My memory wont go any faster than 3200MHz and considering a paid extra for the 3600CL15 kit its a bit of a let down. The memory can do 3200CL13 so i don't think it's the RAM but a poor IMC. I'm thinking the faster speed would aid the cache somehow but I hope I'm mistaken.

That is a nice chip. The 1.24/5v is for stress testing to pass all tests. I can run my computer just fine in all my apps I use at 4.9 at 1.25v with two to 4 cores sitting at 5.0. Adaptive wise I can go a little lower. At this point I'm holding at 4.8 on all cores until I get my new Corsair ML fans. When I get these 6, I'll have the RGB capability i want but more so, ALL my case fans will be MLs and should sync up a lot better for noise/temp.

Once all that gets done, I will try again for 4.9GHz again stable across all cores. I know I can do it but I may need to turn down the OC on my Memory from 4000 to 3600Mhz. I'm okay with that since they are 3200MHz XMP. I'll then play a little more with Per Core settings. I really feel I should be able to get at least two cores to 5.0 and 3-5 at 4.9, the rest 4.8.

Grrrr.. Aida 64 CPU just fine at 4.9 and even 5.0. Just can't get all four tests to run on real bench tho at 4.9...grrr

Honestly I got the turbo boost icon coming up and set a couple of games for it and I don't see any difference, probably cause I"m already overclocking far beyond what TB 2.0 would do. I keep uninstalling it and it keeps coming back...

If you are gold, Ive got platinum.

The Vcore is reported wrong. This is at 1.225 BIOS 1002, wont do it at this voltage on any other BIOS. Takes 1.275 on the others. Ive had it to 5.1 and 1.285 but it gets way too hot and locks slam up in real bench when Elmors face pops up. Im not one to do per core OC. IMO its all or none. I actually get better results and a higher reaalbench score at 4.95 and 1.225 with multi of 49 and BCLCK run up to 101, Yes folks there is more than one way to get your clocks up than just the multi. One click down on DRAM put is in at 3770 instead of 3800.

5Ghz all cores, uncore at 3.2GHz and RAM at XMP of 3800Mhz

    https://valid.x86.fr/ir9q8k

    https://rog.asus.com/realbench/show_...t.php?id=21660

These all get a little to warm for my taste so Ive backed it off to 4.8, 3.2 and 3800MHz where its very happy and a lot cooler maxing out at about 85C.

Make sure to remove any CD from your drive and remove all other USB and hard drives or ssd not being used.

IS that with an AIO or custom loop?

I'm still using BIOS 0802 because BIOS 1002 didn't recognise my saved OC profiles and I didn't want to enter them by hand. I'll see if updating it give any improvements.

    https://valid.x86.fr/14asys - 5GHz isn't stable, that's at 1.32 too.

What type of stability testing did you do to check these overclocks?, my chip has passed 8 hours of stress testing with realbench 1.2v @ 4.7ghz, last time i tried realbench wasn't stable for more than a hour on 1.25v @ 4.8ghz ill have to retest to be sure, i also run my memory on xmp 3400Mhz with no issues.
