Happy chuffing! So there is still hope for the rest of us that our countries receive stock before the Sep 25 HCC i9 release date.

Here in the U.S., we have a national chain of brick-and-mortar computer stores called Micro Center. If 6 R6E mobos were available in one city's Micro Center, on the very first day of availability, you would have fistfights breaking out over who had possession of the very last box.

So this begs the question of... HOW IN THE WORLD IS PB TECH ABLE TO GET 6 BOXES BEFORE ALL OTHER RETAILERS IN THE ENTIRE WORLD? And if no one is buying the 5 remaining boxes in Auckland, why would Asus even be sending them to New Zealand first? SMH

This. I find myself distancing myself from the board. It has caused too much hurt with the delays.

This is absolutely crazy... I don't even know what to say, New Zealand? Unless they broke "street date." Something is really odd with this release....

Do you think you could put 2 of these (one on each side) of a DIMM.2 card?

Only feasible explanation is that others have them and are not supposed to release until next week. At least thx to DragonPurr I have something to watch for the next 90 minutes.

    Movies for geeks ;-)

If PB Tech broke street-date, I wonder if they will fall into disfavor with Asus when Asus ships other new products like the Z370 mobos later this year?

I know that when Intel's X-series CPUs were first released, one popular reviewer had previously broke NDA prematurely last year, and thus Intel refused to supply him with an i9-7900X review sample.

This would totally explain why Exzelsior previously noticed that PB Tech had fluctuating supplies of R6E at their various NZ stores during the past two weeks, and PB Tech told badjz that they had the R6E in stock for the past two weeks. So it is not the case that no one in NZ wants the R6E. But PB Tech has been constantly selling their R6E stock for the past two weeks, thus explaining the fluctuating in-stock numbers that Exzelsior noticed. And the last 5 boxes that PB Tech now has are after most of the PC enthusiasts in NZ have already bought out PB Tech's other R6E boxes. If this is what happened, then either Asus approved of PB Tech selling eariler, or PB Tech broke street and Asus may not be happy about it, and companies have many ways of punishing retailers for breaking street.

New Zealand is one of the first countries to ring in the New Year and now this? Bah. Lucky Kiwis. They can purchase the motherboard so many are waiting for and the rest of the world can't even get a date for availability. Seems a bit odd. Perhaps and Asus rep could let us know more. Was it something we said?
