Please tell me $700us is not correct if so I will not be with Asus on this one. That is too rich for my blood. Also, I will have waisted my time waiting for it. I wish Asus would get there stuff together. There seems to be more info for the x399 variant than the x299 rampage. Including active cooling in the i/0 shield for the vrms.....

These prices are speculation based on a few unreliable tid-bits of information we have so far. I am with you in hoping it is far less than what has been said. It will also cause me to rethink if this is the right direction for me personally if that price is correct. I have put off buying x299 since I was waiting for the nicer boards to come out. I certainly understand that these boards come with a premium but I have my limits. I just hope ASUS remembers that most enthusiasts don't have endless supplies of money. If ASUS out price themselves on this platform on the high end then remember there will be other decent options as well. For now I am still hoping to get this board.

My opinion, the R6E will be a little more expensive at its release than the Rampage V Edition 10
With each new Rampage Extreme, the price is a bit more expensive
But we will know the price when it will be pre-order in shops
    Sorry for my english

Do you remember the RVE 10 price at launch?

The cost may be creeping up but at some point it becomes too much. I sort of wonder how a higher price would go over this year with the Intel vs AMD thing going on. In my opinion to sell more boards I think they would want to try to keep the price at least level but what do I know. ASUS benefits from both platforms so perhaps in the big picture it is not a concern for them.

No idea. Like I said, it's a regional thing. 10G Ethernet onboard, so it'll likely cost more than the previous gen. Even passively, the R6E heatsink outperforms the ZE's actively cooled sink. You do get a fan mount with it, though, and that takes heat handling capabilities well over 400W. Most people will have sufficient airflow in the chassis not to need it.

I think the Apex may hit the sweet spot for this gen. No more than most people need, and enough overclocking chops to get the best from the platform.

When will there be more details available? Like spec-wise etc?

Probably within the next week or two, or perhaps longer. These things can take time.

Appreciate the updates. I might have to figure out a pathway to get the Rampage VI Extreme. Hoping $700 US is the max as someone said. The Apex does look intriguing. I was not aware it had RGB as well. Looks tastefully implemented. Hopefully the wait will not be much longer.
