*No photo, parcel was already packed awaiting courier pick up & they are the Newegg equivalent of NZ so an unrealistic request.

*Yes tracking number in hand, eta is Monday or Tuesday.

*Worst case scenario, I'll simply return it for a refund if it's an apex, but I have been assured otherwise.

Welp my computer company in Canada responded saying that while they do have the product up on their website as "special order" it "may be 3-4 weeks for delivery".

This tells me they have no release date, yet.

I truly hope that you get the real thing! I wonder if any Kiwis are lurking on this thread. If any Kiwi reads this and wants an R6E, what are you waiting for??

I have three of these EK heatsinks and I would say YES it would work. I put one in the M.2 slot on my Rampage 5 Edition 10 motherboard which is really cramped right next to the DIMM slot. I wasn't sure it was going to work but it did. I also put one on the Asus Hyper x4 card with no issues and that card looks a lot like their DIMM.2 card.

Finally I have to say I really am impressed with this EK heatsink. Originally I had an alphacool heatsink and idle temps were around 48 C for the motherboard m.2. With the Ek heatsink on, idle temps are at 36C. The temperature in my room is a steady 21C so I'm impressed with this little heatsink. The one on my Asus Hyper x4 is at 32 C which makes sense since it is in a PCI-e slot and there is more airflow than the area on the motherboard where the m.2 sits.

Detailed R6E Thai review posted today, with an i9-7900X OCed to 4.8 GHz

A Thai reviewer, ExtremePC, has posted a 90-minute video review of the R6E today. I do not understand Thai, but you can follow along with his review and look at where his cursor is pointing and look at his screen as he narrates. There are several Thai reviewers who have very good YouTube channels, and this guy is quite thorough with all of his 1 to 2 hour video reviews. He does not run the various benchmarks that Tiny Tom Logan runs in the OC3D review, but he goes from a full detailed unboxing to showing every part of the mobo, including the removal of the PCH heatsink, and then he proceeds to overclock a 7900X to 4.8 GHz on a test bench using an Aqua Computer Cuplex Kryos waterblock.

Just take the time to watch his whole 90-minute review:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjSW0oRH7rw

He also even overclocks his 7900X to 5.2 GHz, but uses way too much unsafe 1.52V voltage to get there.

Thanks. Mine is rather cramped on my R5E10 too, but it worked nevertheless as well here. But that dimm.2 card has a few little projections near the installation slot that makes me wonder. Appreciate the input. *

Wow. Just wow!! Except for us Americans, after currency conversion, the $1,198.99 NZ Dollars converts to $873 USD, plus shipping fees and customs duty tax added on... So the total to ship to the U.S. is more than $950, compared to $650 USD if purchased locally in the U.S.. I can wait...

I am very disappointed in the Kiwi PC builders though.... 5 boxes are still sitting idle in Auckland and no one wants them...

Tell me about it! What is most disappointing is that they have had these in stock for last 2 weeks, could have had it much earlier.
    * I actually saved $100 given the price here in Australia, so I'm chuffed
