Ai Suite for overclocking?

I have been using the 5-way optimization to overclock my Ryzen 1800x to 4040 mhz. Is the software the most efficient way to overclock? Also atm, I cant seem to install AMD Master software. I read somewhere to be able to install It, I must reinstall windows completely. Lastly I have my 32gb of Corsair memory running at 2663mhz.. Is that good?

Hi Sfoda

Welcome to the ROG forum !

If the 5-way optimization is working ok, I don't see a problem with using it.

I would advise against installing amd master software since you're using ai suite, too many programs to do the same thing can conflict with each other and could cause problems.

I see you don't have your ram listed in your specs, what ram kit do you have ?

Hi Sfoda 🙂 The best way to OC is with your Bios period being the most efficient way to OC.

Some systems don't work well with AISuite and others also have issue with the AMD Ryzen Overclocking suite.

There are also some problems with OC RAM that are about to hopefully be addressed with the update of AGESA 1.0.0.6. This adds 26 new DRAM parameters and already distributed to MB partners (scheduled for June release). This supposedly will improve the compatibility and reliability of DRAM and hopefully these improvements (I hope) will allow a better choice and stability for OC RAM.
