    Hi Riicckk,

I have gone on the ASUS website, clicked others, BIOS and have received these options below:

    https://icr-emea.asus.com/webchat/ic...046.1494543258

And it gives me 2 options on the left of the screen which are:

    1. [Desktop PC/All-in-One PCs]ASUS Manager-Update(Application/Driver/Bios)

    2. [Motherboard][Video]MB EZFlash 2

So I am unsure as to what approach I should use.

    Go to https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/RA...Desk_Download/

Select OS used, scroll down to bios and choose latest.

Follow Chino's advice by extracting zip file to fat32 formatted USB drive, and use EZ Flash Utility in bios to update.

If you want more info on updating bios please search these forums; there is plenty of advice. Or search the Asus website, etc

If you are still not happy to upgrade bios then try my suggestion on removing Hibernation. You won't do any harm.

Should you want to re enable hibernation use the admin cmd prompt and use

    powercfg -h on

    Then Reboot

    Hi Riiicckk,

I have downloaded the latest file and extracted it to a FAT 32 USB drive. How do I use the EZ Flash Utility in BIOS? and also why do you say if I am unhappy that I should remove hibernation? why would I be unhappy at updating BIOS is it risky? or will I lose any of my files/documents? is there a downside to updating BIOS through EZ flah utility?

    Thanks.

Spam the Del key when you see the logo. Navigate to the last tab. You will find the EZ Flash Utiltiy there.

    Hi Chino,

Is it safe to do? Will I not lose my files/documents?

    Thanks.

You won't lose any of your data, however updating the bios should always be treated with care and no one is 100% sure that something won't go wrong.
Take care and everything should be ok.
Remember, that any data that you do not want to lose should be backed up to an offline external drive or whatever. This should be carried out at regular intervals even if you are not doing any maintenance or bios update etc.
Remember backup your data, then backup again. You can't have too many backups. Believe me, I have learned the hard way over the years.....

    Hi.
This is how I updated my Bios several times.

    1.Clean CMOS.
2.insert your USB drive into bios flashback USB port.
3.Press and hold button with two "crossed circles".After seconds this button will start to flash.Firs it will flash slow then faster and faster. After update is done this button will NOT flash(it will be Off).
After that clean CMOSS one more time and then hit the Power button.
Let us know did that helped or not.
If not, press and hold MEM OK button.Maybe it will help also.

That'r proper way for installing BIOS and somehow I have more confidence than in EZ Update through mobo BIOS.
But second one work as well. Only if someone have issue there is probably big change that will be fixed with ASUS Flashback method.

If you turn off PC or restart and you see some code it's better to shut down system holding mobo power button few seconds and than to wait few minutes and turn again. There is very big chance that will boot normaly.

I have had this same b1 problem since I got this mb. It happened once in a while. Drain the power then start up always fix this problem. No you don't need to clear the CMOS. Just drain the power off the mb by holding the power switch for a few seconds while the power supply is unplugged or switched off.

Yes this is what I had attempted previously but than realized this shouldn't be the only solution, having to unplug the power button or push it down when the power is off. It didn't make sense thus I was looking for a permanent fix/solution...........
