Yeah, I just don't get it. It's not my first rodeo with water-cooling, so it's baffling me. I went from a 3-way 680 setup and never had temp issues like this.

Posted this over on the [H] discussion of the Poseidon review:

I have the block set up with the liquid entering the top left port with the outlet being the lower right port. The tubing is clear, and I can see it flowing through the tube. At idle the temps are 39C. I just unplugged the pump and the temp steadily rose from 39 until it hit 50 (at which point the fans kick in) and flatlines at 57. I ran something intensive to get the temps up (hit 90), turned off the app and the temp falls rapidly back down to 57. When I turn the pumps back on the temps rapidly fall back to 39. Running that same app while the pump is going gets me to 81. Shutting it down brings me back to 39 in a hurry.

Just comparing this to a friend's rig which is quite similar other than his video card (1080ti Strix) and he's way under me in terms of temp. Seems odd to me that his setup on air can be that much better than my water.

    I'm stumped.

Anyways, speaking with Kyle over thrre and am told part 2(the water cooling results) will be up on Monday. I'll likely RMA it on Monday. If the next card is like this I'll have to swap it for a different brand.

I don't know how much cost Poseidon.
In my country I just read review. They probably import only one sample.
I would like to see some discount. For 700 euro I would bought instantly without thinking because card is beautifull and I could imagine in my PC, she would fit perfectly. Poseidon will be nice pair with Rampage VI Extreme. I think Poseidon and Monoblock on motherboard could be cooled with one 280mm radiator.
Temps would be little higher than with average custom watercooling but far below any other cooler and perfect for gaming even after OC Intel processors.

And backplate is flat and clean.
But maybe RX Vega drop price of Pascal really.

I can't wait AMD to confirm my choice.
If they surprise Intel... who knows what could happen...
ASUS RX Vega will have AIO system probably.

    ATENTION!
DO NOT RUN FURMARK MALIGN SOFTWARE BECAUSE HE IS CONFIMED AS DESTRUCTIVE FOR GPU.
WHY YOU RUN FURMARK, TRY DIFFERENT GAMES, DOWNLOAD FUTUREMARK TESTS, UNIGINE TESTS AND RUN THEM WITH DEMO, THAT'S BEST TESTING.
I WOULD BLOCK FURMARK WITH DRIVER TO CRASH INSTANTLY AFTER STRESS TEST START.

I believe Amazon will have maybe even before Newegg this card, but price will be unknown.
In Europe is available but for 950 euro in Germany. Somehow that is on half way between Founders Edition GTX1080Ti and TITAN Xp.

I bought it June 16th from Newegg Canada I had it set to auto-notify when it came back in stock and I do believe it sold out very quickly. I installed it on the 26th of June when it arrived. Out of curiousity I put it back on auto-notify and it did come back in stock and sold out again.

The day I started my RMA request it was still listed on the site but out of stock (with the option to auto-notify). I asked if I could have one 'reserved' for my RMA when one comes in and she said they had 3 units in stock (despite the site saying they had none). Later that same night the page disappeared. if you search for it comes up as a link, but when you click it you are directed to the Strix page.

Not sure what is up with that.

When I click on the link in my order history I get this page:
    https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...727.1499393720

which takes you to a product page that says "This item is currently out of stock and it may or may not be restocked" with no option to auto-notify. Seems odd. Not sure what to make of it.

850$ is OK price and should be something similar in euro.
Still that's 150$ more than reference model.

People no reason to worry if they have loop with newer components and copper radiators.
Because watercooling parts are from copper. That's great decision to build from copper.

Well, it's back up on Newegg Canada at the moment (but not in stock) and you can set to auto-notify.

    https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...82E16814126202

    Also same situation for Newegg.com:

Might be your best bet to get one if interested. Just be quick on the trigger when you get notification.

I checked in my region, East Europe.
Looks like it's available from Hungary for arround 850 euro.
Poseidon will force me to build small custom loop in future if I decide to go on that model.
280mm radiator and something similar to Predator or Swiftech Prestige, I always liked to have that type of cooling.
Maybe is and time to upgrade from real AIO to some form of expandable system.
