Is there a noticeable difference between 100hz and 144hz?

I am planning to buy a new 144hz monitor and wonder if it is worth it.

With your bare eyes most likely you won't see any difference over 60Hz...

I can definitely tell the difference between 60hz and 100hz (or 144hz). Even on the desktop you can tell. That said, I have a hard time discerning anything 100hz and up. If you are already at 100hz, the upgrade to 100hz isn't going to be noticeable.
