yeah i dont recommend you do it, because you are a normal PC user and that mostly you dont need to do stuff that needs techie or more advance user. my advice if you realy have the urge to do it just take it to your local tech shop let him do it for you, safer and easier for you, they mostly know what they do.

I am fully anticipating we will never get another BIOS update for our Z270 boards. At LEAST Z170 is kinda old now coming up on what, 2 years this summer? Z270 is freaking brand new and it's already EOL from a support perspective. Disgusting.
    The truth as it is.

Yes it's absolutely disgusting. This time my "new" PC got old super fast. Before, i had never paid attention on how fast my system is aging until it does not handle it's tasks. But this time this cycle is WAY too fast and noticeble.
After 7700k got old before it's warranty has worn off and "Pro/OC/Super-high-end" IX Maximus MOBO has grew a beard, I'm waiting for a mail, that my case fans are too old to blow air.
Z270 is totally brand new. Asus haven't even fixed all the "first day" bugs yet.
I think that intel is responsible for this. AMD has made their move and intel is riping their hair off now, releasing this z299 platform.
And ofcourse all MOBO manufacturers must release new MOBOs...

We will see new BIOS only if all Asus MOBOs will start to explode because of some critical bug.

Yeah, haihane. You computer illiterate mutt. Who did you think you are being doubly cautious? Who did you pay to type this for you? How did you even turn your PC on? Can you even read? You better take your PC (that's short for personal computer because you obviously don't know) to Best Buy where they have quality expert technicians who are capable of updating your hardware with the required software. But whatever you do, DON'T DO IT YOURSELF...You might kill your dog or catch pneumonia.

Unfortunately that's the way of the world. It's called business, nothing in the tech world stands still. As soon as you think that you have the latest and greatest then something new appears. Manufactures will always focus on their latest products regardless of products that are only a few months old. Unfortunately we as consumers have to suck it up.

perhaps that did go overboard, even if it was a retaliatory response for initial provocation.
