    I just don't understand how an issue like this passes Asus quality control.

    It's a top of the line piece of hardware god damn it....

    And then we wait even longer...

    Another last thing u can try is to put the slot that u have the soundcard in gen 1 from auto.
    Does this motherboard give u this option?

    Tryes changing the pci-e port to GEN1.

    The issue is still there...

    From further testing on my part (on every pci-e slot):

    When i turn the pc on and run the asus software for the sound card, I am able to switch a lot of times without it rebooting.

    If I leave the pc for 10-15 minutes (enough time for the screen to go off in my case) and than come back and try it again it is more likely for it to reboot.

    For me it's the best way to replicate the issue.

    Let the pc idle until it turns off the display and then switch from headephones to speakers and vice versa until it reboots (normally takes 4-5 switches to reboot)

    Don't know if that's helpfull.

    It happens both on AMD's balanced power plan or Windows High Performance one

    I give up on trying things on my own...
    I have spent so much of my own time trying to figure this out...

    All there is left to do is wait for Asus...

    22 days have past since you said anything... 7 months have passed since this thread was opened...

    Are we ever going to see this issue fixed?

    This is just stupid...

    Does anyone know where to file complaints at Asus.com?

    OK, I'm done with you ASUS! I switched to an external headphone amp now. I am going to sell my STX II along with my Prime X370 Pro. Never expected this to happen, but after more than 20 years buying and using ASUS components, I will never again spend a single cent for any of your products and be sure that I'll share my experiences with the people surrounding me. Fortunately, there are alternatives available.

    What's left to say is that this is the worst support experience I ever made. I could never have imagined the way how you treat your loyal customers (of top of the line products) and I can only hope that the guys facing this issue will follow my approach.

    Currently we are still working with AMD to resolve this
    New versions with fixes will be available on our website as soon as we resolve this issue
