Ryzen 1600X Owners Overclocking (The 2.2Ghz Problem)

Glad to see that they are aware of this. It seems like not all 1600X's exhibit this problem but I have 2 1600X and they both have this issue. I can confirm that setting manual voltages work on Bios 1002 but not anything after. I have already posted multiple bug reports (2x on Asus support and 2x on the Google spreadsheet but I can redo those here if necessary). I haven't tried with 1403 yet but it was still an issue with 1401. In general, the steps to reproduce are:

1. Clear CMOS/Load optimized defaults
1.a Reboot and go back into UEFI
2. Change Core voltage from Auto to manual and give it a set voltage i.e. 1.35V
3. Optionally you can change the Core multiplier but I've noticed this is not a requirement, at least on my two chips

Yeah, we tried the profile here and we could not replicate it on the system Elmor and I are using. We've asked the replication team to test more CPUs. Doesn't seem it's clear cut on all systems.

For what its worth, I have a new 1600X coming since one of them was faulty and had to be RMA'd so I'll test with that to see if it works. Would it be helpful if we provided more information on the chips themselves? I'm not sure if things like batch numbers etc would be helpful to try and narrow down if its a particular batch of chips that exhibit this problem...

Great, thanks @ Raja for the update. The reproduction steps from ressonantia are valid - at least on my end. The pstate OC worked, I COULD live with that If the board wouldn't be a pretty high-priced enthusiast one ^-^' Hope you find the culprit eventually.

Hi everyone,
I encounter the same issue.
With 1401 and 1403.
For me it is Bclk dependant.
For 99.8, 100 and 100.2 it is stuck with 2200 Mhz.

But with 104.8 everything works fine!
Maybe some of you can try this as well?

I will wait for a fix before starting to play around with cpu OC.
