Not saying this is a fix but it worked for this individual.
PROBLEM FIXED with installing lastest Windows 10 Build 1703 64-bit. (No chipset drivers installed. Win (driver-)/update deactivated.) The little test I did: Loaded default BIOS settings and only disabled AMD CoolnQuiet and manually set vcore to 1.35V. PC boots into Win showing 3.7GHz. smile.gif

That's only a workaround. Regardless of your Win10 build, an OC set in the BIOS or UEFI is an OC. But yeah, I have this problem too ^-^'

In conjunction with the 2,2 ghz issue I have the very curious problem that whenever there is a baseclk set higher than 100 - my m.2 ssd goes dark. Which is.. terrifyng at first and very annoying at best. Should I submit a bug report for this? Thx @ASUS for the quick 2,2ghz reply.

I would like to add that before owning the C6H I owned an ASROCK Taichi X370 and I experienced the same exact problems. That is another reason why I suspect the AGESA microcode as a possible source for the problem.

Huh, well that's interesting. So it's not specific to this board? Wow, I call that a super obvious hint in the right direction. So, does anyone experienced the M.2 weirdness too?

We're having some troubles replicating this on BIOS 1401 using a 1600X. I need more details on how to get this to happen. Step by step from CMOS Clear and perhaps a saved overclocking profile would help. Someone mentioned different Windows 10 versions, so what exactly are you guys on when you get this issue?

Im on Windows 10 1607 (Build 14393.1358), the issue was present on all Bios revisions except 1002, like OP suggested. The M.2 issue is also always present if bclk exceeds 100 - I'm not sure why.

Will update this post in a few mins, will dump the bios

Edit: Okay - so with 1403 the procedure was like this: CMOS clear via rear button, cpu fan speed ignored, all settings on auto, slowest ram speed, cpu multi on 38, save to profile - save changes. Reboots fine, enters windows -> everything works but speed is locked @2,2ghz. The bclk issue is always present if any base clock beyond 100 is selected.

    OC Profile dump

Hope this helps a bit. It's probably Windows - like someone suggested, but it's certainly weird. AMD Master Utility has not been used at all.

easiest way to get it to happen is to simple leave all bios setting to auto except CPU RATIO change to anything 38 and above and change Vcore to manual and use anything above 1.375V .I just cleared all my bios settings and used 39 for the ratio and 1.40V for Vcore, and the problem pops up. I will add screen shots and cinebench scores. Also I notice that task manager reads weird. It says 3.9Ghz but its obviously not. Also the Bios reads the frequency fine also but in windows it stays at 2.2Ghz.

I have a Samsung 950 Pro m.2 and have used a base clock of 100.2 without issue. I'll try and go higher later tonight. The 99.8 Mhz bothered me so i put it @ 100.2. I'll report back. I have a few thing to do first.
