Well without throwing around stats, your setup is somewhat similar to mine, plenty of storage and very similar case (I have the 650D). I have two SSDs of 2.5 inch FF, and have run Windows 7 from 1of them, and W7 and W10 from the other, and when I installed the Samsung 960 pro with W10, it outperforms them both. I don't really need the storage but it's a great Windows drive. It's a lot of $$ to spend if you're already happy with your setup, but it does outperform. Probably boils down to your personal goals for your setup.

Hey skellattarr,

Whats the part number of the drive you ordered?

I don't see any WD Blue drives with NVMe and M type key.

I love mine. I have the Samsung 960 EVO 1TB and it's blazing fast. I actually get annoyed by spinning rust now, and even the SATA SSDs that I had I find myself sighing at their performance.

It's nowhere near as large of a jump as going from spinning rust to SATA SSD, but depending on what you do it may be very noticeable, or barely if at all noticeable other than Windows boot and maybe a second or two off of gaming load times.

I don't recall needing to change anything in the BIOS, and given that I've reset to default a few times and then booted with everything default, I'd say you should be good.
