Can't increase my refresh rate for some reason

I just purchased a ASUS VG278HV monitor with a refresh rate of 144hz to go with my GTX 1080 VC. Resolution is at 1920 x 1080. For some reason Nvidia Control Panel will not offer me the option to increase the refresh rate beyond 60hz. Why wont NCP allow me to increase up to 144hz?

Hey. Are you using the Dual DVI or HDMI? I'm assuming you might be using the HDMI. I believe with that monitor you will need to use the Dual DVI port to get 144Hz. You can get a Display Port to DVI adaptor online if your 1080 did not come with one.

    Hi ceetee,

Please use a Dual-link DVI cable for higher refresh rates (a normal DVI cable will not work).
