Hi, I had a similar problem to you, I would get random code 8 post even at default settings with no overclock, even with a fresh windows installation, then someone suggested to me ,on the overclok.net post for this motherboard, to disable performance bias, and I haven't had a code 8 in over a week now, I also disabled fas boot for good measure.

I went through a nightmare with code 8 myself. Two identical 1800x Ryzen systems, one with code 8 after a few weeks of running fine, the other working perfectly the whole time. I even tried swapping CPUs, etc. Sometimes it would boot up, but usually, it wouldn't work. These times that it did boot up sent me chasing after possible fixes, none of which worked permanently.

Do yourself a favor and RMA the board. This is what did it for me. No code 8 for over three months now.

    elguero83 and booseek, thanks.

I did end up returning the board to amazon as faulty. They didn't have another one to replace it so I just returned the processor and memory also as I didn't know how long it would take to get a replacement board and didn't want to run out of return days on them.

I still have the itch to upgrade tho and will most likely be reordering and trying again fairly soon.
