R5E10 SUPREMEFX HI-FI DAC not recognised
Hi all
I have the ROG RAMPAGE V EDITION 10 with the SUPREMEFX HI-FI DAC. I have a problem where it at every second or third time at boot, doesn't recognize the DAC and thus i have no sound coming out. My standard setup is that I use the DAC where i plug my headset in.
If i then shutdown my computer completely and start it up again, it usually then recognize the DAC and I have sound.
I have tried to go into Device Manager in Windows 10 to see if i can re-detect it manually, but that doesn't work. When it is detected it shows as "Headphones [SupremeFX Hi-Fi]"...
Anyone have any ideas whats going on? I have also tried to play with different BIOS settings to no avail. Would be really nice to have reliable sound, so your sure that it is detected every time,
Thanks!

There appears to be a certain order to install the drivers to resolve this issue. The procedure in the following link may be helpful.

R5E10 SUPREMEFX HI-FI DAC not recognised
I’m using driver version 1911423 on the VIII Extreme Assembly (Win 10 Pro version 1803), but microphone level is in the dirt.
When I install driver version 1911426 windows 10 overwrites the driver with their driver version dated 04-04-2018 (Device Manager/Sound) and turns the microphone into a line-in (Sound/Recording) with microphone level in the dirt.
Driver versions 191121 and 191120 request signed driver issues (Windows 10).
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...-Fi-DAC-Driver
also the Supreme FX-Hi-Fi DAC driver has had issues since Windows 10 release.

Good luck on getting the Supreme FX-Hi-Fi DAC to work correctly!
