Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming is cheaper than Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1

Hello guys!

I was monitoring my local store's website and prices were pretty usual for hardware except for one thing... I noticed that Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming costs cheaper than Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming right now! Upgrade to 1080 was in my plan since 1080 came out and I was waiting for a good time to do an upgrade (I am not waiting for 2080 to come out btw). So I think to buy it today if it's price is a legitimate thing and not some mistake.

My question is: have you heared anything particularly bad about Gigabyte's GTX 1080 recently? Maybe some faulty cards came out and they are selling them at such low prices or something?
My local store is very good, it's where I buy all my parts etc, so it's reputation is not a question for me.

Thanks for your attention!

You may wish to check up on this on the Gigabyte forums. Much better chance of users having gigabyte products there.

I would jump on the 1080 myself, why price is cheaper I don't know, a mistake maybe, maybe the 1080's have been on the shelve without selling, maybe because 1060's and 1070's are in high demand for mining

1060 AND 1070 are inflated cause of crypto mining
