ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING issues

Since 4602 (and now 4801) the PC randomly stops responding and goes into a blank screen and remains there unitl you hit the reset button. Before (with BIOS 4207) everything was rock stable. I have the latest AMD chipset drivers installed (from AMD's site). Anybody with similar behaviour?

Nope everything runs fine here. Are you able to install a fresh copy of windows on a empty drive? I would test it and would only install the drivers needed.

don`t know if it was related or not but after the 4801 update when I was watching some netflix (on the app from microsoft app store) everything froze with the exception of the mouse cursor until I hit the reset button, and this happened only once...so, it may have been the 4801 update or maybe just the netflix app acting up...other than this "hiccup", which I can`t really say what caused it, the 4801 update is working fine, but then again for me every single bios update was ok, never had problems with any of them

Yesterday AMD released a new major (19) version of its chispet drivers. I have installed them and I am waiting to see if the problem will occur again. AMD GPIO and PCI driver dates are 2nd of April.

I downloaded 19.10.0429 from AMD, but amusingly it seemed they were the same as in the Asus 18.50.16.01 zip from the B350-F download page.

Same here. The version numbers for all driver components were identical. Interesting that Asus posted the exact same drivers long before AMD did, and under a different name.

Speaking of chipset drivers, AMD put out 1.6.13.0400 today. Whether or not it will be superior to the previous remains to be seen.

*These are the only two that appear newer than what I already have installed on 1903.

There was talk recently about a new chipset driver that would supposed improve Ryzen performance on Windows 10 build 1903. Perhaps this is it. I just installed it, so let's see what happens.

I don't know. A lot of that talk was about the scheduler change, but AMD confirmed that driver change was not needed for that. They did say the improved clock control that Zen 2 gets requires new chipset drivers, but I don't know if that will affect Zen / +.

I installed the new drivers, don't notice anything.

As far as 1903 goes, several benchmark scores dropped for me. Realbench 2.56 image editing lost 20k points, and is more volatile. Reminds me of when I would run it with Nahimic enabled in 1809 (except that service dropped it 90k). CPU-z's little benchmark is down a few points on single core, about 15 on multicore.

Amusing because otherwise Windows appears to be a little snappier.

Yeah, synthetic benchmarks are hit and miss with these type of updates. Many people have apparently reported much better 3DMark results on 1903, but real-world gaming performance has not improved at all, according to some independent tests. Not sure what to make of it.
