I wonder if 5008 will help or hurt my Micron ram overclock efforts (relative to 4207).
On reddit, someone said it fixes LLC and other bugs, but I guess I don't know which bugs these are. I wasn't aware LLC had a problem since I didn't try using it.

Anybody else try 5008 yet?
Had a freeze when starting to type in the search dialogue after opening Firefox. Had a livekernelevent 141 + Desktop Windows Manager crash listed in Reliability Monitor. Ram was actually at default speed and settings. I don't know if this was related to having CSM running, or if this might have been related to the fact that I know devices were shuffled around after bios update (just did that this morning). I did have a usb in a rear port, which I don't usually have.
Might try reinstalling some drivers. Ran sfc from cmd and didn't find anything.
I hope this isn't something that is going to be a problem going forward, or I will have to try and figure out a good way to go back to 4207.
I'm on Windows 1903.

I don't think Asus have updated this list yet, but if you search by CPU, you can find the new models.

The support list has now been updated. Everything up to the 3800X is listed; I would not expect the VRM's on this board to handle the 3900X or 3950X.

I had another freeze yesterday. It was when restarting the system and it was on the new "blinking cursor" screen that pops up between splash at post. Also had two programs stop responding when closing them. Changes from default settings were fan speeds, CSM off, LED off on soft off, Fast Boot disabled.
I reflashed 5008 and pulled the CMOS battery. I will see if it happens again. FWIW, 5008 also is not up to date on microcodes or AGESA so I wonder if we will see a new version soon.Last edited by hazium233; 07-10-2019 at 12:09 AM.
