I have the same problem , my computer runs fine with my ram at 2933 as rated on docp profile , however sometimes fails to boot for no reason at all . When it fails to boot an orange light on the mobo up right is on . About black screens with monitoring software , the solution is to turn off the rgb lighting on aura software . Then if you try to run as many monitoring software as you want , there will be no black screens . Right now I am running full stock in order to see if it fails to boot one more time . My ram kit is Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) . I am 100% sure that my ram is causing the problem . But why sometimes it fails to boot the first time and boots normally in second or third time ? ( without booting in safe mode , it boots up in safe mode if it fails to boot 4 times continuously .)

Hello, I have this beautiful motherboard and like it a lot, I just updated from BIOS 0809 to 0902 and I ran in to some odd issues

First why on earth did the DC Q FAN control (case fan) change from min. 35% fan speed to 60%? 25% would be much appreciated. Next why did standby/power off RGB LED on the motherboard change from cool rainbow/color shifting to numb/boring one color red (might be a little subjective here )?

In BIOS 0809 my G.Skill RipJaws V 2800CL16 1.2V was perfect setup with DOCP, now they are around 20,20,20 something?

And I to suffer from the black out screen with USB power off with machine still running and have to do power off, either by power off bottom of case or sometimes by PSU hard power off. I had this issue in BIOS 0809 to. I think it might be related to CPU power, since I have had it happen quite a few times running Prime95 right after I end the test. I have an R5 1600X and it has happened both with stock voltage (over 1.4V in BIOS) and when running offset voltage.

And finally a question, when using offset voltage and manual setting CPU multiplier to 39, does this mean that the multiplier is locked? I think that my I5 3570K still had the multiplier changing when I ran it with offset voltage and an OC multiplier at 44.

When you update the bios you need to re-calibrate the fans this tells the motherboard how slow and how fast the fan can go, I had the same issue with fans locked a minimum of 60% but once you re-calibrate it unlocks the full range that the fan is capable of. See bellow for where the option is. As for the colour if you have the latest version of aura v1.05.22 then this is your problem as it is totally broken, from colour settings not saving after a cold boot to the standby or off lights going red no mater the settings, reverting back yo the older version fixed both these issues for me.

Yes if you set a manual multiplier to say 39.00 then it is locked at this though if you set an offset this will allow the voltage to rise and lower depending on what you are doing so you can still save power if your PC is idle

    Thank you very much

The DC fan can now run at 37% and my PWM fans can now run as low as 10% (was 20 or 25% before).

I did in fact first install the aura software after I updated the bios to 0902, thought it was bios related.

Regarding the black out screen/USB disconnect when the system is still running , it might be something with memory timings/voltage.

    corsair h115i / 570X
B350 STRIX (Latest bios 0902) - all settings default except DOCP enabled for memory.

    TG 8 Pack 16gb 2 x 8gb 3200Mhz C14
    250Gb SAmsung 960 EVO M.2
    EVGA 650W PSU

From day one always had a problem with cold boot. All settings are stock except the memory which is set to DOCP (auto).

When first booting up the network controller is no longer responding (no network connection) - a quick reboot and its working perfectly.

Wierd because I'm not overclocking - most motherboard vendors have issued a bios fix for this issue I believe (something to use with utilising the DCOP setting in BIOS I believe).

    Awaiting a fix from Asus.........

DOCP is overclocking memories. Also I'm sure you have not updated your bios properly or at all.

I wonder if the newest bios has improved pstate overclocking and the vid value. Has anyone tried it out?

New guy here having problems with the motherboard

I`m new here so hello everybody , I tried posting on the "hello page" but it didn`t work so...

I`m having a problem with said motherboard, it has a 1600x on it and 8Gb of LPX 3000 Mhz RAM...now the problem, if I try to set any voltage in the BIOS it does not maintain it in Windows, for example: if i try to set core ratio to 39x and vcore 1.4V (1.375+0.250 offset) in BIOS on the vcore voltage appears 1.400V (though in the right upper monitoring "thingy" it shows 1.427-1.438V) when in Windows under full load the vcore jumps to 1.450-1.472V (it`s way too high for LLC in my opinion, read with Aida 64, CPU-Z, HW Monitor, HWiNFO64) when it should be more like 1.408 or something, this is with Core Performance Boost disabled, LLC set to auto or regular, tried with memory at 2133Mhz an with DOCP enabled for 2933Mhz, nothing works.

I tried undervolting to 1.35V (1.375 - 0.0250) with 36x core ratio, just to see if i can get that in Windows correctly, and surprise it does go down(again in the right upper part of the BIOS it`s reading lower than set at 1.118-1.22) but now in Windows it doesn`t go above 1.308V which is ******* driving me crazy, with LLC on auto, Core Boost disabled, RAM at 2133, everyting else on auto/default.
I really like the board with all it`s bells and whistles but it`s really giving me a headache.
Anyways thanks guys, if you can help me, then I would be most grateful

I attached some screens to show the problem

Edit: I forgot to mention that this is on any version of BIOS, i tried 0902, 0811, 0809 even the one that is on the motherboard`s DVD v 0223 I think it was, all the same I can`t set the bloody voltage as I want...tried with a MSI B350 Gaming Plus and with that one the voltage is input directly not by an offset, but it`s not adaptive and it stays where you set it + little LLC. Also at stock settings the 1600x on the ASUS board, with everything on auto/default, the vcore ,in Windows jumpes to 1.5-1.55V but with the MSI never got past 1.432V

I believe P-state overclocking is removed from the BIOS after version 0809. In BIOS 0902 the VID values is closer to the ones I see in CPU-Z (I think that is most correct).
