Please back track this thread. I have those issues long ago and managed to fix it and my tips also helped few others. So please check those post in this same thread. If not found helpful, keep us updated. Use latest bios.

Are you using the DOCP in the AI tweaker? Need to set it to 2400 or the closest rating they have. I would also suggest upping the voltage as well. As another poser said, they have gone into better detail about this earlier so please go back to earlier posts and check.

I had the black screen in windows where the PC still runs but monitor/USB turns off, for me it seems (for the moment) that it´s because of memory timings. Read that it could be windows powerplan (best to use "high performance" or "AMD Balanced").

Do you have a DOCP profile in your BIOS for your memory? (it´s in the AI tweak menu).

Maybe this will help a little: https://www.techpowerup.com/237888/a...ven-ridge-apus

AMD is readying an update to its AGESA micro-code. AGESA is an essential component of AMD platform motherboard BIOSes responsible for starting the processor at system start-up. Updates to it improve the motherboards' memory and CPU compatibility.
In case it wasn't posted here yet.
I'd like to deploy my troops in her country.

    Black screen bug

Hi there, I'm new on this forum.
I registered an account only for sharing my experience on the Blasck screen bug.

After 4 days of attempts, some nights spent to understand why my STRIX B350 F Gaming sometimes stopped to boot (NOT ALWAYS) with orange led blinking...I found the problem: 1703 version of Windows 10 (Creators update).

I am firmly convinced that It's 100% true because I made a lot of tests to verify this.

    Now, I'm running 1607 with no issues, for at least 1 week. Before...(with 1073) after 2 o 3 reboot, I got BS.

This is happening with every CPU (I tried 1700 and a 1800X) every bios (from 4xx to 9xx, DEFAULT SETTING, CSM enabled ), every chipset driver (mainly I used last drivers on AMD website), every graphics card (I tried 1Nvidia & 1 AMD) or every ram (2 different types, Gskill and Corsair).

I was going mad...I also tried a different mobo! A B350 Prime plus... ---> same problem!!!

    With 1703 ---> sometimes BS.
With 1607 --> no BS at all!!! Never!!!

    The problem is software...not hardware.

Sometimes, on some systems, Creators Update 1703 change something in the startup procedure. This causes a broken boot...during ram...or GPU check (orange led blinking), forcing you to hard reset.

    ---------------------
Pay attention I'm talking about a bug that occurs ONLY during boot, ONLY with 1703 CU installed, with B350 chipset (I verified this on 2 different ASUS B350 motherboards...I don't know if this trouble happens with others chipset or mobos..), REPORTING orange led blinking (..Strix F-Gaming mobo)
B350 PRIME-plus (no monitoring led) simply stopped booting & black screen, causing GPUfan spinning intermittently from low... to high levels.
    ---------------------

    Thank you.
    Fabio

ps: EDIT --> I'm talking about fresh install, NO MONITORING SOFTWARE INSTALLED AT ALL on all systems.

I'm still having the same issue as well even though I thought it was the monitoring tools that was causing it. I can have none of them running and when I go to reboot I have to thank my lucky stars to not get a black screen. Sometimes unplugging my xbox controller from the tower prompts the windows login but that doesn't resolve my problem when trying ot get into the BIOS. I was just trying to get into the BIOS to move it back to default to see if I still faced the same issue and after 5 tries I just give up and go back to playing Video games. :-P

Unfortunately Microsoft in their grand wisdom, do not allow you to roll back and I sure as heck am not in the mood to do a fresh install.

So after like 12 reboots I FINALLY got the "hit F2 or Delete to go into BIOS" message (swear to god felt like I won the lotto) and I eagerly went into the BIOS setting. A previous poster had asked if this happened with the OC off and with default settings. Good question, so I did just that. Well, it doesn't completely black screen me every time like it did before however it still does not give me the option to enter into the BIOS. It black screens for a while and then the Windows log in page comes up. Here I am 4 reboots later and still not BIOS message. Let it be noted that I try with a restart, power down, power down and power button off on PSU, power down, with power button off on PSU AND pull the plug AND wait several minutes. Every possible way you can reboot a PC, I have tried that and I have YET to find one that give me the BIOS message every single time. I remember when I first got the PC and was setting OC settings and when those were rejected I STILL got the BIOS message. Ugh, so frustrating. Now I am stuck with stock settings SMH.

You have to do a fresh install with 1607.. ;-) Do not rollback (anyway it would be possible if you had System Protection turned on).

Then...You have to stop/delay further MAJOR update: Settings --> Update --> advanced options.
