RAM and VRM
I had the issue where the board would boot cycle when trying to boot the rated speed of my ram using the DOCP profile with manual timings entered. Corsair LPX 3000 C15 (2x8GB) @ 16-17-17-35-1T. and sometimes it would boot normally. I changed the ProcODT to 53.7 and the issue seemed to stop until about 2 weeks after. I changed it to 60 and a few days later ran into the same issue. I now set it to 48. I guess there is a sweet spot for this setting. The SOC voltage is set to auto 1.1v currently. I also tried 1.0v w/ -1.0v offset.
I also cannot set the first timing to 15. It doesn't like odd values for the first timing, it always bumps odd numbers up by one . Not sure if this is a Hynix thing , a board issue or just a Ryzen thing. I was expecting C15 RAM but it wont run what it says it will. I might have to swap it out for a b-die kit, but I would have to resell this kit at this point. I did a 100% Memtest and no longer get any BSOD's. It appears to be stable but who knows.
I'm on 3401 bios, not sure if Its wise to update currently.
Dose this board even monitor the VRM temp, because HWInfo64 just gives a few generic temps under the CPU an Motherboard temps. And if its not accurate, dose that mean like 5-10 deg as you would somewhat expect with these sensors, or completely wrong?
right now I'm running Ryzen 7 @ 3.6Ghz w/ .0125 v offset that passed a 1hr stability test and no crashes for multiple weeks. I don't feel like I have handle on the ram so I haven't OC'ed my CPU much. That and I'm using the stock cooler currently as well as my concerns about VRM temps with it being a 4 phase and all. Honestly passive cooling on any motherboard regardless of phase count is not adequate when it comes to overclocking. If had an AIO cooler for the CPU I could place the wraith cooler over the VRM. I however don't have an AIO just a tower cooler that I could swap out. I doubt it will fit with the large air cooler.Last edited by Cool Blaze; 02-18-2018 at 04:04 AM.

RAM: Like u many others are facing this issue on this board. You can get lower frequency ram anything above 2400Mhz. Believe me the performance benefit is not that huge the online reviews are claiming. I am running flareX 3200 paid huge for this and it is a waste I could get a 1080ti for that money plus my current gpu price for better performance or getting a r7 instead of r5 for the money.
VRM: Sadly no you can not measure it by the sensors. I have a IR thermometer and what I have seen is for a six core processor going above 1.40v almost fry the vrm up to 80C which is totally not recommended for long run. I know it must be rated for max 108C or something but not for long run for sure. for a 8core cpu of yours this volt will be even less to hit 80c on vrm. Just run dpu stress test for 20min and touch the heat sinks on cpu phase vrm. For me 1.40v at 4.0GHz max 15min stress test burns my finger.
For R7 any type of silicon lottery you can easily hit 38x for sure. Try t find your sweet spot.

Updated to 3803 a few days ago. I can get the PC to boot at 3133 Mhz on my Hynix M-die but it crashes heavier applications. 3200 MHz will occasionally boot into Windows but will usually immediately crash the whole system, leaving the boot image in tatters and requiring running Bootrec to get everything up and running. Bootrec.exe /fixboot is now an unavailable command within Windows for me now, so I assume I permanently screwed up the boot image, so no more messing with memory for me.
Thing is now, on 3401 I was totally stable at 3066 MHz at 1.38V and 1.13 SOC and now it isn't. I have to run at 3000 MHz. My CPU also requires more voltage for the same 3.925 GHz I had before, so I set it to 3.9.
Should have stuck to 3401.

When i was on 3401 my 3000 memory ran fine at 2933MHz at 1.35v with a soc of 1.1v however after moving to 3803 with the same setting i noticed i was suddenly getting random blue screen of deaths and this went on for a few weeks as i then decided to run memtest86 and it was reporting over 150 mem errors tagged as cpu, and i thought at this point bad ram but then i figured i would play with settings before i take RMA action and sure enough dropping the ram speed to 2866 with the same 1.35v and soc 1.1v it has been stable for over a week and no BSOD and memtest comes back clean so clearly its this bios i think.

I'm having a problem with this board on the latest bios 3803. Whenever Windows returns from sleep the multiplier and frequency downclocks to 15.5x/1,55ghz. This also happens after I go above a certain voltage. I'm at 3,9GHz on +0,95v stable, and at this voltage it happens maybe once every twenty boots. If I put the voltage over this it happens every time I boot into Windows.

3803 its a no go bios for this board
had to downgrade to 3401 in two boards (3203 works well also)
lost the windows activation in one board
but to many issues with memory in games
don't use it if your system is runing well with older bios

Display turns off automatically while PC is on
Hi guys, i have this weird problem when i open a program ( speccy, cpuid cpu-z) to see my temperatures the PC monitor just suddenly turns of without error diagnosis led on mobo also the keyboard and mouse is dead, pressing power button also not force shutdown the pc. I need to turn it off by wall power switch and after only a complete power off it can be booted again. I update the motherboard bios with 3803.
My PC is new,
Here is my new Rig,

hi there, not trying to be a jerk or something but start reading from page 1 and you will find your answer, but in short your problem is caused by a conflict between installed software( aura, corsair link etc.) and the monitoring software... I myself haven`t experienced that but other here did so...good luck
