G551 jm ram upgrade question

Hi! I know the common knowledge needed to upgrade your ram for laptops but i just needed to verify a few things to the community out of anxiety.

I have a G551 JM, i7-4720 HQ, GTX 860m 4gb with a 12 gb ram.

The memory modules that i have are as follows before:

Memory Slot 1:
HMT451S6BFR8A-PB (Hynix)
4 Gb
1Rx8
PC3L-12800S
11-13-B4
1600 Mhz
1.35 V

Memory Slot 2:
M471B1G73DB0-YK0 (Samsung)
8 Gb Ram
2Rx8
PC3L-12800S
11-13-F3
1600 Mhz
1.35 V

Those were the default hardware when i bought this laptop from a concept store.

I currently upgraded memory slot 1, so i can make my unit have 16 gb ram.

I upgraded it ot the following ram

Memory:
HMT41GS6BFR8A-PB (Hynix)
8 Gb
2RX8
PC3L-12800S
11-13-F3
1600 Mhz
1.35 V

Was this memory upgrade okay? Would it cause any problem in the future? Should I change memory slot 2 to a hynix ram too? SInce I bought a kit of two? Or is my current build fine as it is? I'm asking because my ExpressCache and System had been running at 0.1 mbps for Disk Usage since the replacement? Is there anything wrong to what I did? Please do answer as quickly as anyone can.

do you mean the 11 - 11 - 11 - 28 should match, i checked both memories and compared it to my CPU and they both do. Or am I doing something wrong?

11-11-11-28 Timings and 1.35v have to match on all 4 chips, not sure of your model but 1.20V is common on the newer models, but all 4 chip have to match timing and voltage, it they do all should work provided all are working correctly. If your having issues you should test each chip with Memtest or some type of Ram testing program to locate any defective chips?

They are both 11-11-11-28 with 1.35 volts

When i both checked them out they say that both rams supposed to be 1600 mhz but only shows 800 mhz, did windows memtest and it's all good too? Do you think I'm good?

Yes you RAM is running in Dual Channel, 800 each channel. I guess I missed something I thought you added more RAM All I see here is the 2 that came with your notebook installed?

I bought a Hynkix kit of 16gb, and i've checked that both modules matches my laptop's requirement 11-11-11-28 1.35V is it okay to completely replace the samsung module, so that both modules have the same brand ?

I'd say so - just make sure to keep all old parts in case you need to RMA

Yes that is helpful to have all the same brand and revision, but timings and voltages are required for it to all work together.
