I tried what Nate said and upped the SA & VCCIO max making the changes he recommend and still do dice. I cannot boot above 38000MHz. My timings are 15-15-15-36 2T at 1.30v. I would rather have gone with a 2X16GB vs 4x8GB sticks. I bought from NewEgg which I am kinda not please with right now do to some shady pricing with the Strix 1080 GTX they tried to pull.

Should I RMA the RAM sticks or keep them?
And have you tried using Maximus Tweak Mode 2 along with SA & VCCIO tuning? Also those voltages are quite sensitive so more is not always good.

I am at work right now - but I will try relaxing the timings to see if that helps.

Chino - Nate gave me that instruction yesterday - that didn't work either

This isn't the 1st XMP RAM I have used but the 1st one that I am having this much issue getting it to speed, so that you guys for your help.

It's up to the cpu's IMC if it can handle it and it looks like yours is struggling, with 32GB of 4000MHz ram that should be expected.

Yeah try with the relaxed timings, if you still can't get it there try with 16GB - 2 sticks in slots A2, B2.

I gave that a shot (gray slots correct?) with 2 sticks, did not boot at 4000Mhz (both manually at 19-19-19-39 and XMP). I think I will stay with 36000Mhz 15-15-15-39 1.3v for now until the next bios update. Unless there is something else I haven't tried yet.

Hmmm not even with 2 sticks ? I thought for sure you could get 4000MHz with 16GB seeing you were pretty close with 32GB.

I think I'd do the same, 3600MHz with cl15 timings is very good. You'll likely have better performance too than with 4000MHz with cl19.

I'd also set the Dram voltage to 1.35v which it's rated.

That looks really good to me !

Sorry for thread hijack, but I've been extremely frustrated with my Maximus IX Hero.

With G.Skill Trident Z RGB 19-19-19-39 4133MHz kit (F4-4133C19-8GTZR), my computer is unable to post anything beyond 3733 MHz.
Even this memory speed seems to be extremely quirky and most likely not 24/7 stable.

I've tried this entire range of the voltages below with minimum increments, but even 3866 MHz will not post.
    CPU VCCIO voltage: 1.25v - 1.30v
    CPU System Agent voltage: 1.25 - 1.30v - 1.35v
    Dram Voltage: 1.40v - 1.45v

Regular post code errors are 49 and 55.

Memory modules are in slots A2, B2.

I've manually input 19-19-19-39 and I've even tried much more loose timings such as
    19-23-23-45 2T at 1.45V.
    20-25-25-55-2 (tCAS-tRC-tRP-tRAS-tCR) at 1.45V
    21-31-31-63-2 (tCAS-tRC-tRP-tRAS-tCR) at 1.45V

What else is there that I can try? I can't believe at my 7700k is so bad that, it can't handle even 3866 MHz memory with no CPU overclock.
There has to be something wrong with this motherboard model, since I've seen so many posts about difficulties with IX Hero.
