ASUS G752VS: will the new 309 BIOS update fix these issues?

Hello Community,
I saw that the new 309 BIOS update is coming soon
https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?94638-Any-new-BIOS-and-Driver-updates-(G752vs)

Here is my question - will the new 309 BIOS update fix issues with running Linux (Ubuntu 17.04) on Asus G752VS laptop:

*
after 7 months of developers assistance, the ELAN1203:00 04F3:3043 touchpad is still completely dead (it works somehow only after resume from suspend);
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1653456

*
microphone jack and headphone jack doesn't work;

*
right side of the laptop (area around usb ports and audio jacks) is much hotter compared to the left side;

*
Firmware bug within Dmesg output:
[4.440279] tpm_crb MSFT0101:00: [Firmware Bug]: ACPI region does not cover the entire command/response buffer. [mem 0xfed40000-0xfed4087f flags 0x200] vs fed40080 f80

By the way, is there any difference between BIOS update file for 'Windows 10 64bit' and OS 'Others'?

I don't think Asus support Linux on these notebooks? I think they only support Windows 10?, You might want to create a VM to run Linux in?

Ever since I saw it in the eGPU over Thunderbolt support thread, I was always wondering: where can you find BIOS 309 for G752VS and what is the changelog for it?

Official G752VS download page (https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/ROG-G752VS/HelpDesk_Download/) only lists 306 in both Win10 and 'Others' BIOS lists.

The other two Asus laptops in my family - N750JV and X750JN - works perfectly with Linux.
The thread that announces new 309 BIOS update is unfortunately closed, I would be very interested to hear any response from Bill@ASUS 🙂

"Hello all, we are still preparing this BIOS for final authentication. It will be available on our official website soon, thank you."

If it hasn't been released there is probably a very good reason for it. Also I would wait for It to show up in Asus support Downloads When is shows up here you can be assured it is compatible with your notebook.

Not to mention without a changelog the BIOS is worthless.

The new BIOS 310 update has been released yesterday.
Here's my question: is there any difference between BIOS update file for 'Windows 10 64bit' and OS 'Others'?

I guess there all worthless then since I have never seen a change log with any Asus BIOS upgrade at least one that had any actual useable data.

Well yeah, perhaps that was an overstatement. Considering these <= 5 word "changelogs" are used by a lot of MB/SoC manufacturers.

From the 310 description it seems they did not apply any fixes, so I guess there is no reason to install if you aren't going to use an eGPU. Though the wording they used definitely catches attention.

I installed the new BIOS 310 update for OS 'Others'.
I can't try the microphone jack at the moment, but the headphone jack still doesn't work and the area around usb ports and audio jacks on the right side of my laptop is again pretty hot. I applied the hdajackretask headphones fix (override pin 0x16 to headpohne), but after that the rear left and the rear right speaker doesn't work - so I restored the original settings.
ELAN touchpad remains completely dead.
